I'd probably lean the opposite direction. If people with those interests can be satiated with AI, that makes things safer for everyone else.

It's not like the AI is going to be hurt, and if they're too busy with their AI friend they'll be too busy to go after real people.

I don’t think that they generally could be satiated with AI because it’s not usually about sex. It’s more about control. It probably wouldn’t be very exciting to control AI.

That's likely true of people who are largely motivated by a desire to harm or control but they're not the only category of creep out there. I don't expect it would be a cure-all for creeps, but it might be helpful for at least some portion of them.

I don't buy into the notion that something like that would increase the risk they represent (not that you've suggested that).

Yeah, there are probably many who don’t exactly engage in criminal behavior but who probably shouldn’t be having sex with real people.
