many people have to work longer and harder than they've ever worked in their lives, to find a mate. not everybody has the ready spoon supply to do this.

If he was asexual, he probably wouldn't have even brought up the topic, as it wouldn't matter at all to him. But you may be right, and maybe he only mentioned it to show the OP that not everyone has had a relationship in life, to try and relate with him.

The internet has made it easier to find a suitable partner these days - there’s a much bigger range of people to choose from and it’s less nerve wracking to approach people. This luckily got me started in the dating world, If I was from an older generation I can easily imagine myself never having a relationship, or having my first relationship at a much older age.

This is very true!! !

Not everyone has their love lives handed to them on a golden spoon!

I had to work long and hard to reach the point I am at now, but it wasn't easy...

As a broad rule of thumb, the averages need to be taken note of. If someone strays considerably away from the norms then the chances are they're the problem and not all those thousands of people they came into contact with.

There is no way on planet earth that someone hasn't met the right one in 67 years. His standards are either ridiculous, women just don't get along with him because he's developed numerous off-putting traits or he's intent on living a reclusive life where he rarely comes into contact with people (though seeing he's a pub regular, I doubt he's much of a hermit)

It doesn't matter if someone is a man or a woman, after 30 or so, it's time to have a good look at oneself and look for the problems that's causing them to be left behind.

Where is this pub too? It honestly sounds utterly wild and I would love to go.

Exactly.

There are MANY different things you can do to influence a positive outcome in love (& life!! !)

My brother could get a girlfriend/wife if he really wanted to but he lives a reclusive life-style and has NO interest in starting a romantic relationship or getting married/having kids

That's his choice

If you TRULY want a romantic relationship, you must start evaluating yourself to find any potential turn-offs that could prevent that from happening!

This is what I did, and look where it brought me!! !

EDIT: Also, a therapist can help determine if you have any potential mental health concerns that need to be addressed before beginning a romantic relationship

Probably why my neighbor Anita told me to see one back when I was single...

Well...people can find love at any age so being single at 67 really isn't that strange!
