Texas DARS has not been able to get me a job partly because they tend to put all disabled clients into McJobs....I want to get a job through them that would use my degrees but they for whatever reason refuse to put me in a job that is not a McJob.

They may not have any training or resources for helping you find jobs that use the degrees you have.
I worked with Louisiana Voc Rehab a bit in my early & mid 20s & my counselor mostly just kept telling me that I needed to keep asserting myself & try calling employers after submitting apps. When I called I got told how they get hundreds of apps & don't have time to go through them all. What I needed was help getting my foot in the door so to speak with a potential employer. Employers needed an incentive to give me a real chance & since Louisiana voc rehab did not do that dealing with them was a waste of my time. I heard similar complaints from other disabled people who worked with Louisiana voc rehab or voc rehab in other states. I have the impression that voc rehab is mostly only helpful for people with physical disabilities instead of mental disabilities & the people with physical disabilities only have one disability instead of multiple types of disabilities. Since I have a couple physical & a couple mental disabilities my voc rehab didn't know what to do for me.

Why do you think I most likely wont be able to find a full time job with insurance. I guess if you are right there is no point of working to me because of the 2,000 dollar rule.
Are you on SSI or Social Security Disability :?: The limit for Social Security Disability is $1620 a month. SSI is different though. I worked a lot of overtime for a couple months around holiday season when I was on SSI. Since I was still disabled I was able to stay in the SSI system but wasn't eligible for my SSI those months.

I am on SSI and SSDI and medicare and medicaid
