I've never been asked out. Girls expect me to do the asking. But I don't often take action or show how I feel.

I've only really been truly asked out once. I said yes. I've had interest thrown my way many many many times, but you know as aspies, we can't always interpret these social cues. The females take it as me blowing them off, and days later, a freind or classmate sitting next to me will inform me that some female has been giving me google eyes since day one. Happens more often than not. I now have a good female friend I go out with to catch the signals and let me know if a girl is interested or not. My dating radar is hopeless.

I just can't trust anyone. If someone asks me out I assume they are doing it as a goof so they and their friends want to have a giggle at my expence. The woman who ask me to hang out with them that I know wouldn't screw with me like that I just figure she feels sorry for me. They usually think their company or them offering sex will fix my shyness or make me feel better. All it does it make me hate myself even more filling me with anxiety and even more self loathing. Its why I would never accept pitty sex ever again. The only way I would feel comfortable meeting a woman is if I initiated the meeting thats the only way I could trust the relationship.

My inability to trust people asking me out comes from when I was in school. The kids I went to school with knew I could not tell if someone was lying or telling the truth. Serious or joking I could not tell and they loved showing me up. Thanks to that young trash I will never be able to trust anyone for anything.

Only people who ever asked me out were guys. My standard response is that I'm straight. If any girl would actually ask me out; I would think I'm dreaming or that it's some kind of prank like a contest to see who can bring the dorkiest guy to a party. I would say yes thou

I probably would say yes because I wouldn't realize that I was actually being asked out. I usually already know the person and am pretty comfortable not to know they like me more than just a friend. If it was a total stranger I would probably say no which I have done a few times. I haven't gone out but have made out with a total stranger after playing pool (wait, I did know his name maybe he wasn't a stranger. Does that count?)

I'd wonder what they were up to. So the answer is No. Siege mentality, I think.

If it at least started out casually, I'd probably go for it. Especially with someone I know a bit. But if someone were to ask me out point-blank, my instinct is to run, find a rock and hide under it. While some of this stems from standard AS culture, like my inability to understand compliments, there is also a fear of intimacy which I believe stems from the loss of many family members, friends, and acquaintances during my youth.

While I can theoretically envision a relationship, it is unlikely to work out. I have never been on a date, but there is a distinct possibility that I would run away in the middle.

And by not understanding compliments, I mean that if someone says that I have a nice shirt, my thought process is "Yes, of course it is, that's why I wear it."

If I'm sure that it's not a trick or joke, I would say yes. :)

If it was the 75-year-old pervert letting down the road at you, would you still say yes?

It says someone I "kinda like." I wouldn't like someone like that. So I would say no in that case. :/

Where I'm from girls never do the asking so I'd be confused more than anything.
