. An aspie woman named Sharon Loree once said: "
Normal people prefer to go out with other normal people, the sense a difference and it turns them off". Now I realize that many of you are in relationships with NTs but in my life what she said has proven to be VERY true.
Yes, isn´t that funny? This is something I´ve only discovered very recently...(boy, have I been on the "wrong track" all this time!) I notice that when a man is interested in me, he tries to show me how conventional he is...(yawn)...I started wondering about this, and had the impression that all men were trying to be the same person! (And I have the impression that they all want to go out with the "same woman" too, because as soon as they find out that I am different, they freak out and tell me I didn´t act like I was supposed to act, etc, etc.) Personally, I don´t get this! I find people who are slightly different MORE attractive. In fact, because I think this way, for the longest time I thought other people felt this way too, so I used to show my differences blatantly, not try to hide them...boy, did that not go over well! Anyway...people are a mystery...
I see your dilemma; I have the same dilemma. I wish I could give you advice on how to "sell yourself"; however, seeing as most of my life people have said that I need to learn how to sell myself better, I guess I´m not the one to tell you how to do it...hmmm. But if you figure it out, let me know, and give me some tips!
