I am so confident that I challenge ANYONE to come up with a good comeback:

If I asked you out on a date, would your answer be the same as the one to the question I am asking you right now?

I challenge some one to:

1) rebut it with a whitty response
2) come up with a better pick up line

Does my handkerchief smell like chloroform to you?

Regardless of which of those you were answering, Fnord....that was good. :)

1) The only question you are asking is: "If I asked you out on a date, would your answer be...question" there is no real subject of the hypothetical ‘question’ besides this, and "same as the one to the question" is redundant. What ever the answer you still go home alone, if you are going to bomb you might as well make her laugh.

2) If I asked you out on a date, would your answer be the same as (for) the question I am asking you right now?

You gave me something to work with....what can I say?

So is my ex-wife.....why did you have to go and ruin it for me?! Although, if I remember correctly, my moon sign is Pisces. Maybe we can work something out....

Sadly, most women don't get my humor....

OK.....getting loopy (and kinda ornery) - gonna head to bed now.

I think you are forgetting that 97% of the women on WP are somewhere on the Autism spectrum. we are not NT women by a long shot.

Merle

And the 3% that aren't Spectrum are probably on the, shall we say......"odder" side of NT.

don't sell our sisters on the NT side of things short. I was at a Tony Attwood seminar and the question was asked "Who here loves an Aspie" and three quarters of the women put up their hands! There were only about 15 Aspies in the crowd and 5 of those were the women I was sitting with. He then launches on a ten minute discussion on how NT women were drawn to Aspie men.
Read "Loving Mr. Spock," you guys have all the luck!

Merle

I for one will check it out. Thanks!

I'm not saying they're bad at all. Those NT females who are members here are likely - in some way, shape, or form - "different" themselves (due to interests, hobbies, beliefs, or simply getting along better with us), or have someone close to them on the Spectrum. I probably should have used "non-mainstream" instead of "odd" in that post.

I tend to be a little bit partial to "non-mainstream" women anyway. Seems like they relate to me better.

Yeah, well you better get used to "whiners," because AS is a "mental recession."

the response i deleted a few days ago i will repost. it is not intellectually watertight, but now i think of it, it would cause some confusion in the person with the pick up line.

i would act vague and say "well....yes and no really"

Don't you remember that from the 2008 election? When talking about the economy, one of McCain's advisers, Phil Gramm, had said that our recession was "mental" and that we had become a "nation of whiners."

The only thing that really matters is if it works! Just try the line out 10 or 15 times, and then report back on how sucessful it was.
