i needed to drop some sizes for hereditary health reasons (sleep apnea, high blood pressure, acid reflux, etc). not everyone has health problems when they are large, but i did. not all of my health issues are fixed yet (and probably never will be).
I get all of those things to a certain extent when I am in the high end of "normal" BMI wise.
Asthetically, I should actually keep the weight on, but I feel much better when I'm carrying less fat.
Being thin physically feels good, you don't have to do it just to please the opposite sex...
i feel better because i am fitter, but back in the day when i weighed 110 lbs i felt like crap because i was not fit. being thin doesn't automatically mean healthy - in my case i am healthier now than i was at my *biggest* weight, but i am ALSO healthier now than i was at
my *thinnest* weight. a proper healthy diet and exercise have improved my health, and thin people are not necessarily physically active or healthy eaters (and large people are not necessarily lazy junk food eaters).
When I am at my ideal weight, it's because of proper diet and exercise - maybe that's why i feel so good.
