That's what I mean.

There's unattractive and then there's dealbreakers.

Finding bad posture unattractive isn't wrong, I find bad posture offputting too, but its not even close to a "dealbreaker" for me.

I like the story about the hunchback.

Yes, familiarity frequently begets regard, rather than contempt.

Fluffy hit the nail on the head.

I'd date a f*ckin hunchback if she took care of her health and looks and we had compatible personalities.

Sometimes when I'm very tired or dehydrated I probably walk with poor posture, I guess people are so shallow being tired is literally the difference between someone being attracted to you or not.

That's right, a bad night of sleep is actually a deal breaker in 2017.

We're only human, people!

I find poor posture unattractive, I find a lot of things unattractive, but lots of things are unattractive with out being deal breakers. Very often when I meet guys (maybe at work) I think they're unattractive but after a couple of months I find them attractive this is because I know them better. If you don't know someone at all there is only looks ect to go on so your assessment is going to be shallow.

This is why I don't do internet dating, I mean it's not like I can read anything in their face :|
In the books by C J Sansom the hero is a hunchback, he's attractive as a character because of the way he deals with the prejudice he faces.

That’s what profiles are for. You read them to get a feel for the person. Though i dont think many people read profiles anymore.

Women in person don’t bother getting to know me or talk to me. Dating sites are my only chance :(

Is it really because they don’t look after their health or are you just not attracted to fat people? A lot of larger people do look after their health but are never going to be a size 8. I don’t care if you don’t want to date fat people but constant “I want a girl who looks after herself” is often just an excuse. Would you date a thin person who doesn’t look after themselves??

Practically every profile I've read, said the same things 'enjoy nights in in front of the telly and nights out' or 'enjoy fine dinning and exotic travel' I don't do any of those things.

As I said in a past thread, No.

And someone with healthy diet and exercise habits should eventually be at least no more than slightly overweight.

How anyone with good diet and exercise and measuring their food portions can stay fat even after years is beyond me. They're doing something wrong other than the tiny portion who have a disease or condition of some kind.

A.thin woman with bad habits can become fat, actually most of.them.do once they're metabolism starts to slow down..

According to UK measuremet size 14 is probably the highest I could realistically be attracted to.

If they eat the amount of calories they burn they wouldn’t lose or gain wieght they’d stay static.
I’m losing wieght by eating less then I burn each day.

That's what I'm saying.

If a person eats healthy and exercises for years and years and is still fat they're eating too much food and clearly lack.self control.or they wouldn't still be fat years and years later unless they are the 1% of fat people with a health problem.keeping them overweight.

If they truly care about being healthy they would have lost weght by now.

Being very overweight is not and never will be healthy.

Doesn't matter if you eat healthy and exercise if you can't get your body fat down to a reasonable level you're still at all the same risks as a lazy fat person.

Either they have a binge eating disorder or don't actually want to lose weight bad.enough.

Losing weight is not easy but people who always do their best will get there eventually.

What really gets me is my ex from last year who kept on complaining about being fat and literally crying about how miserable being fat made her and yet she still didn't do anything about it. If being overweight was such an emotional crisis for her than she shouldn't have been eating donuts and pastries.

And this was after she had a gastric band put in. She actually gained weight with a gastric band by intentionally finding ways to squeeze more food in (even after the doctor told her not to). She had to lose 5 kilograms before the surgery could be performed. She did this successfully, thus proving she didn't need a gastric band in the first place.

Weight is not the only indicator of health. It's not all about keeping calories down. Consuming enough vitamins is very important too. I think the reason she felt tired all the time is because on most days, she not only ate donuts and pastries, she only ate donuts and pastries. I believe she was suffering from malnutrition from not getting enough vitamins.

I encouraged her to eat vegetables. We went to the schnitzel house. She ate her schnitzel but didn't touch her salad. She said because of her gastric band she only had enough room for the schnitzel. In that case she should have started with the salad.

Why do people do this to themselves? It's a sign that they don't have a healthy body or a healthy mind. You can't help people like that.

You’re very hard on saying other people should take responsibility for themselves, especially women and their weight, yet half of the regulars on this forum don’t do the same about their own problems, complaining they can’t or won’t change and/or blaming everything except what they see in the mirror.
