You're wrong. You see them get together with sexist, misogyinst pigs all the time. Recently someone moved into the share house where I live, and you'd constantly hear him verbally abusing his girlfriend, talking to her worse than you'd talk to a dog. (Thankfully he moved back out a week or two ago.) Was he forced to stay single? You bet he wasn't. So the "Misogyny's what's driving them away" line is a furphy.

Ok, i'll elaborate further. Sorry to say, but some people might put up with alpha pigs, but noone is going to put up with a sexist pig on the bottom of the social ladder. Thats the worst guy you can get in many womans eyes. (I'm not talking about myself, im talking about many women)

How about "No well balanced woman wants to date a sexist woman hater, end of story."

My sense of direction is so bad, I can't find my way out of my massive ego. Someone hand me a map before I get lost in here. :P

So it's OK for alpha males to be sexist, but not other males, eh?

OK? No. It's not ok. But their alpha-ness is a sufficiently huge positive that it offsets the huge negative of being a sexist pig in the minds of some women (not any women on WP-that's pretty clear). Any giant negative needs to be offset with a giant positive. Putting two giant negatives together leads to no interest from women.

These people usually hide their sexism for a while into the beginning of the relationship, and then once an attachment is there, s**t begins to fly.

That's something I've observed anyway.

This.

Be sexist if you want, but don't expect to get anyone. I'm just telling you the facts. Alpha is a positive trait, Sexism Negative. For a lot of women that positive overpowers the negative.

Some butthurt guy with aspergers?

Two negatives.

You may want to stop challenging me and accept I'm trying to show you how a lot of women think. I am not saying this on behalf of my own beliefs.

Both guys sound like twats to me in said example.

Why it's a negative trait , it doesn't seem to effect much. In fact, the opposite of sexism (belief in gender equality) is barely an add-value in the eyes of most women:

It actually varies to a great extent depending on the crowd you're in.

Yes, they date people with AS.

However, don't make assessments about whether you would be in such a relationship, under the assumption that everybody is at the same level of functioning. In other words, don't knock it until you try it.

That said, other things to factor in include asexuality, the need for more physical space, sensory issues. If both partners can find ways to work around those things, then there is no reason why it wouldn't work out.

I wouldn't mind dating an AS girl at all.

^ This.

I also agree with the two giant negatives vs one massive negative and one massive positive explanation other posters have given. I also have one further question for you:

You're saying it's unfair that alpha males may be able to get away with being misogynistic pigs and still get a gf but AS males can't. Seriously, why not just NOT be a misogynistic pig in the first place. A giant NEGATIVE helps nobody's chances (even alpha males; I can tell you right now, non-misogynist decent alpha males have way more success in the dating pool than misogynistic pig alpha males).

Yes, the AS can be a giant negative (for both aspie guys and girls ). Life's not fair, we have to make do with what we have and work on our positive traits to outweigh our problematic neurology.

If I were you I would spend less time obsessing about how alpha males can get away with being misogynistic pigs while you can't, and more time looking into yourself, finding your POSITIVE qualities, and working on developing those. Therein lies your best chance of finding a relationship.

I find it interesting that so many Aspie guys here think that Aspie women don't date Aspie men. I work at with engineers where there are quite a few that would probably be somewhere on the Autism spectrum, and they all have NT wives. You'd think in a company with 97% men, there would be a few singles, but there isn't.
