He has permission to sleep with other women, not to cheat. Cheating requires sneaking around and lying, and I'm not okay with that.
I was "poly" for 2 years...I know how it goes...my problem was it took..pretty much having my romantic feelings stomped to pieces by the sneaking around lying and cheating on the part of my business partner, so I was no longer able to trust him...before I could allow myself to attempt the "poly" thing...and so I found another partner...but I was emotionally loyal to him, and could not comfortably sleep with the guy who was supposedly my "primary partner" since I lived with him and ran businesses with him....I am just not good at being poly...it really messed with my head...
BUT kudos to those who are able to make it work....I have a lot of friends who are that way..and they seem happy....it just isn't for me.
