Yes because women look for abusive qualities when dating.

Girls don't look for that sort of thing.

I repeat... You don't know much about abuse.

Perhaps I've made a mistake in what women do look for that seems like abusive traits. I probably don't know much about abuse, as that dynamic makes my skin crawl. I don't mean to disrespect anyone, and would appreciate clarification.

A lot of abusive people hide their sadistic traits in the early stages, so it's not like we're looking for it. We see something else and then before we know it, we're getting trashed around physically and emotionally.

Abuse is subtle. Not just that, abusers tend to pick women that they feel they can control. This means many women that are the victim of domestic abuse were abused as children and have a very warped perception of love and life in general.

Thanks, y'all. I like the way you both express yourselves, and find your comments interesting, so I feel glad we can talk it through.

Viewed close up, warped perception =\= stupidity. I've made that mistake from a distance innumerable times.

I don't tolerate people controlling my behavior, and get creeped out when I see it in others. How or why do you think women accept that key indicator and let the situation escalate? I just don't get it at all.

Maybe we should move this to another thread if you're willing to discuss it further, I don't know the local standards yet.

Edit: women and men, because men get abused too

Moving it to another thread would be a good idea.

Yes because women look for abusive qualities when dating.

You may disagree (and I'm searching for the article to back this up), but there seems to be science-based evidence that women prefer the "Bad Boy" male during ovulation (for the short-term activity that leads to pregnancy), and the "Nice Guy" male the rest of the time (for the caring and support while she's raising her kids).

Bad Boy is not the same as Abusive Assh0le.

In fact, Abusive Assh0les disguise themselves as Nice Guys, rather than Bad Boys. This way he lures in susceptible women to control and abuse while the rest of the world continues to believe he's an easy going and good person.

^^ Thank you!!

TeaEarlGreyHot, Image as others pointed out, I certainly wasn't referring to women who fall for pretenders (those who show their real face once committed), but to women who go for obvious jerks and for jerk qualities. This only to tell Nick, if he's really that nice as he claims, to stop boohooing and dwelling over a specific kind of women who were never be his potential partners.

Thank you for the clarification. I'm sorry I assumed.

I have nothing constructive to say about women that go for the bad boy except that they aren't much different than the women that fall for an abusive dickwad. They are often far from stupid.

As for nick... I have my opinions but I think it's best I just don't voice them. :)

Other bad advice I got
Don't listen when girls turn you down. They are playing hard-to-get & want you to keep pursuing em.
Lie about things. Say you work from home instead of telling a girl your on disability. Pretend to be outgoing. ect.
Come out the closet & start dating guys instead of trying to pretend to be straight because you are only causing more problems.

In light of who you were replying to, it is rather ironic that that is Captain Picard face palming.
