I may seem conflicted, but that's probably just be because I've posted and touched on a lot of different topics pertinent to the anti-feminist movement, not to mention that terms are thrown around carelessly and interchangeably (myself included). Just so we're clear, I advocate learning Game, the art of becoming sexually attractive to women. I do not advocate becoming a pick up artist. In the right hands though Game can be very positive thing.

Perhaps hearing some of this stuff from a female voice rather than a Conan avatar would make it more palatable.

you missed a point that really descibes your views:

lilypadfad wrote:

by definition, if you consider women to be lesser than men your views are misogynistic. here are a couple of really telling definitions from wikipedia (i believe you also said that you support the patriarchal mindset, if i recall correctly).

wikipedia wrote:
According to sociologist Allan G. Johnson, "misogyny is a cultural attitude of hatred for females because they are female." Johnson argues that:

"[Misogyny] is a central part of sexist prejudice and ideology and, as such, is an important basis for the oppression of females in male-dominated societies. Misogyny is manifested in many different ways, from jokes to pornography to violence to the self-contempt women may be taught to feel for their own bodies."[1]

Michael Flood defines misogyny as the hatred of women, and notes:

"Though most common in men, misogyny also exists in and is practiced by women against other women or even themselves. Misogyny functions as an ideology or belief system that has accompanied patriarchal, or male-dominated societies for thousands of years and continues to place women in subordinate positions with limited access to power and decision making. [...] Aristotle contended that women exist as natural deformities or imperfect males [...] Ever since, women in Western cultures have internalised their role as societal scapegoats, influenced in the twenty-first century by multimedia objectification of women with its culturally sanctioned self-loathing and fixations on plastic surgery, anorexia and bulimia."[2]

EDIT: i think that men can be successful with women while still respecting them as humans. i also think that the "game" mentality removes that possibility as it objectifies women into targets, as opposed to viewing them as fellow (and equal) humans.

If you hate women so much to write a thread like the one in PPR, why do you want to be attractive to them?

of the threads he has participated in, i wonder what percentage are anti-female in some way. whether it's rape, paternity, PUA, etc. he manages to find a way to introduce a misogynist viewpoint.

most women don't like to date or marry men who dislike them or think they are lesser, except for those women who are just as bad. but the chance of finding misogynistic women is not too great. a man would be better off being a genuinely good and positive person with transparent motives then adopting any anti-female techniques or ideologies.

I've always understood misogyny to be the hatred of women. Viewing them generally unsuitable or incompetent at certain tasks is not hatred in my book. I don't want female firefighters who haven't passed requisite strength tests failing to break down a door while I burn, nor do you. Granted I've also extended that to other areas. I don't think women make good leaders in general. Like I said before that does not mean I believe there are no women who could lead. I was a big fan of Maggie Thatcher :P, who famously said "I owe nothing to women's lib." She's right, her talent got here to where she was, not sodding quotas and bleating feminists.

Chauvinism =/= Misogyny

Zen, that thread in PPR is about rape stats possibly being inflated by feminists to, among other things, demonise men and make women seem more oppressed. It's not about hating women. Even if the stats are entirely true and not inflated in any way, you won't see "Infant children are more at risk of being killed by their own mother than by any other group" plastered all over posters or in the media every other day. Because that would make women look bad.

Chauvinism = Misogyny

fixed it for you. do your reseach and you'll see that chauvinism = sexism = misogyny.

considering women to be lesser than men is equal to hate. considering a group of people to be lesser is a form of hate, which seems to be your main message. i don't necessarily mean hate in the manner of strongly disliking someone, i mean Hate. just like racism is a hatred of certain ethnic or racial groups, so is chavinism a form of hate.

No, I know what hatred is. That anger, that burning desire to see someone suffer at your own hands, someone you'd watch die with glee if you could. It's deeply negative, deeply emotional. That is simply not how I feel about all women. No anger, no hate. At my worst I feel a bit of schadenfreude at women like the bitter old crone above who ended up alone after a lifetime of screwing up other peoples lives.

That feminist crook you quoted has done nothing but redefine a word to further feminist causes. When feminists don't get their own way it's one thing to accuse a man of sexism or chauvinism, misogyny however is something much worse. Misogyny is hugely unnatural for men and really strikes at the heart. A lesser man might cave when faced with accusations of misogyny.

You want to see real misogynists, visit the MGTOW forums. They hate women, so they want nothing to do with them.

i didn't post anything feminist, so i can't make sense of what you are talking about. perhaps to you anything that judges misogyny/chauvinism/sexism to be bad is somehow feminist by default? not so. and you are still misunderstanding what i mean by hate - it isn't just an emotion. in fact no subjective emotion is necessary, though some may be involved at a certain level. i will dig up some definitions for you later so you can understand it better.

Misogyny:
Hatred of women

Hatred:
Intense animosity or hostility.

Hate:
a. To feel hostility or animosity toward.
b. To detest.

Try explaining what you mean without using the word Hate, and I will say whether I am or not.

To me you may as well be using the word rape.

Hyperlexian: "Rape, dear lilypadfad, is the belief that one group of people is generally not as competant as another group of people in task X/Y/Z."

Me: "Women aren't as good as men in task X/Y/Z"

Hyperlexian: "I knew it! You're a rapist!"

This is where you fall down. If you'd said, "I don't want firefighters who haven't passed requisite strength tests" then nobody would be complaining, but you singled out women, thus implying that it is okay for male firefighters to be too weak, but not for female firefighters to be too weak. I'll have to check with the Oxford Dictionary to be sure of the definitions of hate and misogyny, but in general I agree with you that hate = an emotion, and misogyny = hating women. There is probably a certain amount of overlap between misogyny and sexism per se. Your statement is sexist though, no doubt about that.

you need to look deeper than the dictionary. just like you do not accept the dictionary definition of "feminism" at face value, so must you look deeper into what "hate" actually means. let's talk to the experts:

Quote:
For example, U.S.-based Tolerance.org argues that "All hate groups have beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics."

Raymond A. Franklin, author of The Hate Directory, focuses on groups that "advocate violence against, separation from, defamation of, deception about, or hostility towards others based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation."

http://www.media-awareness.ca/english/i ... s_hate.cfm

as you can see, sexism/chauvinism fits quite neatly into the definition of hate. this first paragraph in wikipedia's section on Sexism also includes the word hate:

Quote:
Sexism, also known as gender discrimination or sex discrimination, is the application of the belief or attitude that there are characteristics implicit to one's gender that indirectly affect one's abilities in unrelated areas. It is a form of discrimination or devaluation based on a person's sex, with such attitudes being based on beliefs in traditional stereotypes of gender roles. The term sexism is most often used in relation with discrimination against women[1][2][3][4][5], but can apply to both sexes.

Sexism involves hatred of, or prejudice towards a gender as a whole or the blind application of gender stereotypes. Sexism is often associated with gender-supremacy arguments.[6]

about chauvinism... one doctor had an awesome interview with some guy named Masterson in an article called The Mind of Male Chauvinism. the doctor pointed out the possible connection between chauvinism and mental illness of sorts. it is a hilarious read, as the interviewee who promotes male superiority exposes himself as a less-than-stellar example:

Quote:
Your critics have suggested that your attitude toward women is due to a defect in your early bond with your mother, but I suspect a neurological problem or traumatic brain injury (TBI). Do you have a TBI?

http://www.wellsphere.com/mental-health ... ism/447512

it is worth noting that writing negative posts about one gender falls under the umbrella of hate speech, as you can see in this excellent definition:

Quote:
Verbal, written, and symbolic acts that convey a grossly negative view of particular persons or groups based on their gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.

EDIT: forgot to mention, you can't have hate speech without hate. it's like lemon meringue pie with no lemons.

please note that sexism and hate speech are actually both prohibited on the forums. so you're going to want to keep an eye on what you say. a great deal of what you have written doesn't cross a line. but it comes very close.

You say you dont feel hate, but your choice of language and adjectives speaks otherwise. Perhaps it is a sort of alexythymic thing, you hate, but are not consciously aware of it.

I agree that there are women who falsely report rape and that it is a terrible crime.

However there are also a large number who do not report rapes. I know from personal experience that there are predators out there, they often look just like an ordinary person and you dont know that you are cornered by one until it is too late.

So these men are definitely out there. But of course there are females who take advantage of people too, though usually in non-sexual ways. Nobody on this board is suggesting otherwise, if you actually took the time to read what people are writing.

I reject your silly definition of hate and misogyny. Just like I reject the many new definitions of rape that have popped up over the last few years.

Quote:
Sexism, also known as gender discrimination or sex discrimination, is the application of the belief or attitude that there are characteristics implicit to one's gender that indirectly affect one's abilities in unrelated areas.

Agreed, I am a sexist. Still don't think that's misogyny.

Quote:
You say you dont feel hate, but your choice of language and adjectives speaks otherwise. Perhaps it is a sort of alexythymic thing, you hate, but are not consciously aware of it.

Just because I grin when I read that sob story, doesn't mean I hate her, even if I did that doesn't mean I hate all women.

Quote:

I don't want to argue this to death here, but in my world: two drunk people =/= a rape, woman regrets having sex the morning after =/= rape, boyfriend pestering his girlfriend who relents =/= rape, 16 year old boy having consensual sex with his 15 year old girlfriend =/= rape, a broken condom is not rape... lying about ones religion beforehand is not rape. There are more.

When you take out all of those "rapes", all the false claims and multiply the number left by 10 that's still not many. When you consider most rapists are serial rapists that makes the number of male-on-female rapists incredibly small. Yet feminists would have you believe otherwise and they demonise every man with this crap.

They are doing to the word rape what Hyperlexian is trying to do with misogyny. The word rape always conjures up images of actual rape. Call a man a rapist and his life is in danger. Call a man an idiot who got drunk with another idiot woman and had consensual drunk sex they later regretted and they will both live and learn. Call a man a sexist and you can try and educate him, call a man a misogynist and you can safely ignore everything he has to say, because that automatically makes him the next Dick Masterson who is beyond hope.

Image

The thing I said earlier about infant children being more likely to be killed by their mother. It's true according to the stats. But the percentage of mothers who actually do it is obviously rather small. How would you feel as a woman if some male organisation inflated the stats to say "1 in 4 women will murder their own child"? How would you feel if we put it up on posters, reminding mothers not to murder their own children? How would you feel if mothers had their children taken away by child protective services on one false report because guilt was always assumed?

i think you pretty much make it a point to reject rational, fact-based arguments.
