Beta male is the wrong term, because betas still get women.
What we're looking for here is "omega male."
What we're looking for here is "omega male."
N.B:
Many of the males that complain about alphas on this board do get some female attention, just not those that they are attracted to.
Which when you get right down to brass tacks, if they aren't attracted to them then it's not much different than not getting any attention at all.
He was complaining about a problem with alpha/ whatever humans and animals. I felt like pointing out other animals are unlikely to be as obsessed with standards as us

well.. other animals don't really have the extremely WIDE dimorphism that humans have either. Animals don't tend to have the range that humans have.. barring things such as Rats anyway... So Animals pretty much all look the same cause their populations remain stationary in a specific niche or ecosystem.
If I lived somewhere around the North sea or the Baltic I'd be thrilled cause basically EVERY one there fits criteria of what i consider "Attractive" but I'm not, I live in the Southeastern US where something like only 10% of the total population might fit what I consider "Attractive".. I'm in the wrong ecosystem as it were.

And I would count those guys as beta males.
An omega male would be someone like me or a certain other member on here, who can't get a girl to save their own life.

but there is nothing that links these supposed "omega" males with each other - an NT may also be single, just like an aspie, for example. and he might not even be shy! there are no defining criteria beyond lack of success with women, which makes the label sorta pointless.

ra da da...Although it contains none of the romantic memes that people are familiar with, this is a very romantic post.
is it? i trust you are genuine in what you say. i did not consciously set out to diffuse her anger. i just related my own comical idea of what was happening, and her diffusion of anger was a by product of what i said. i was glad that she went from being almost in tears to being in in a mood of hilarity, but if i had tried to deliberately calculate how to make her feel better i would have failed.
i do not want to disown the possibility that i may have performed a "romantic" action however.
tammy automatically understands my mental excursions into comical absurdities and i share them with her. i very much am fond of tammy. with people on the street however, i internalize my imagination and i start to laugh all on my own because i do not feel the inclination to share what i am thinking with them. tammy is invited by me into my own world and she is glad that only she has that availability.
i would like to talk more about her because i am constantly amazed about how much i like her. but i do not like to share my thoughts with other people much because many people would not understand and they may be insulting to us.
this song is a well known song, and i did not have any interest in it until i met her, but when i did i suddenly understood it.
(i recorded my own performance of this song for her on my synthesizer, but paul mccartney i am not, and my attempt was not very good). whatever.

thanks for saying a nice thing to me janissy and i trust you are honest.

Lexi, if everyone thought the way you did, with no bias, this world would be golden.
In my life at least, anybody who is unsuccessful with love (and yes, that includes women, obviously) gets treated like they're not human, or like they're somehow inferior and don't deserve love as a result. It doesn't matter whether you're aspie or NT. Actually the aspies get chastised about it in a worse way from what I've seen and experienced, but that's due to the bias against autistic people anyway.
And yes, b9, that was an adorable post.
