Explain to me age limits in a relationship

The only written rule is make sure the person is eighteen or older. Other than that anyone is free to date anyone regardless of age. Of course that doesn't stop age limit from having unwritten rules. The thing I learned is that younger women and older men have the advantages in dating. Young women are free to date men as old as 50. Older men are able to find women 15 to 20 years younger than them if they look hard enough. But for younger men it's unheard of to date older women. As a young man, I can safely say I am unable to date women in their late 20's or early 30's as much as I want to. The unwritten rules can be a b!tch.
