Well, nobody else touched on this in this post. Free will and love. Free will is part of love. That's the crux of this thing we call "love." If someone is under coercion or control so to speak, being forced to love you, it's not really love, as it's one sided. So even if you were like, God, and could control everything in the world, and this girl's free will was altered to love you, even without her knowing, it wouldn't be real love, as she'd not be actually deciding to love you. In that case, her "love" for you would be little more than a robot or computer program's love for you.

And this is the unfortunate thing many people do not understand about love, the requirement of freewill for it to exist. It sucks, because it's the one problem in life you cannot solve completely by yourself. You can force any machine or other inanimate object to do whatever you want, we as mankind can even control the weather now. But, we cannot "make" people love us, due to the requirement for freewill in love, so while people can easily be controlled, and even controlled into acting loving toward a person, the truer the love, the higher the free will of the person.

Interesting to ponder.

Exactly, that's why the genie in Aladin couldn't grant a love wish.

Damn, I thought had a cool philosophical point, and meanwhile a Disney movie covers it. Oh well.

OP, What do you do? Are you a student or employed? Do you have any hobbies or interests that mean you get to meet other people? I'd suggest that's the best way to meet others.

You sound terribly depressed and pessimistic. Are you able to conceal this, when meeting other people? If not, that will be putting women off. Never give any indication that you're desperate or she won't feel special at all (i.e. you've only picked her because you'll take anybody) or you'll scare her off, thinking you're only interested in one thing.

A subject that you can speak about equally is perfect for getting to know someone. It need not be anything romantic, e.g. shared interest in the environment or politics or science or a hobby or a TV show, anything really, so long as she's equally interested (and not faking it to be polite).

Trudat my last girlfriend and I started chatting about John Hughes films and it went from there.

"free will" and "compulsion" are mutually exclusive.
