Anyway, I already know what I have to do to improve my photos:

1. A nosejob (DO NOT WANT!);
2. working out;
3. hiding the obvious fact that I have no friends and only get out of my house to work.

I'm in the same situation as you and don't usually judge men's pictures but you should come where I live (Canada). I can confidently say with 100% certainty girls will stick to you like glue here and you would have NO trouble finding a date just by going to the nearest campus! If you think you need a nosejob you don't even want to look at my picture and you are in better shape than 95% of men around here plus as a foreigner everyone would accept why you didn't have any friends.

i don't know where you attended school, but in Edmonton it is harder to get a date than other cities. we are very "cold" here, and people have fewer sexual partners over a lifetime

Here it is

Quote:
My self-summary
Fun loving, Hard working Irish lad. I'm always up for a good time and a laugh, Admittedly my self-summary certianly needs help. Hey I've started as I intend to go one, rambling.

Change this, never say you dislike writing about yourself or that your self summary sucks. Never state that you are rambling, say you are good at listening more than anything. If you are fun? Post something fun? Maybe in a club, on a dance floor, get a friend to snap it whilst you are dancing with ladies on the dance floor. Are you adventurous? Post a picture of you climbing a mountain or on a jet ski.

As for the description, keep it short and sweet, keep it random, everyone loves to laugh and everyone can state things like that, try this.
Quote:
"I lost a needle in a hay stack once and found it. When I go to Nando's, the entire menu changes to 99 pence. My carpet vacuums itself. Everyday is my lucky day. I'm 6'2" on paper but 6'10" when you tickle me. I have more fun then my roommate, except when he is having a LOT of fun. When you meet me the pleasure will be all yours. I hate fantasies because they always come true. I don't pay attention to fashion because it is always a step behind. I once climbed Mount Everest, Mount Kilamanjaro, and K-2 using only one bottle of oxygen and a sack of trail mix.

I have a STARTLING piece of information that I'de like to share. I AM ONE OF THE FEW RARE SPECIES OF GUYS WHO ISN'T ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT SEX. Shocking, I know. Moving on..."

As for the what I'm doing with your life, this part is to describe what you are doing and you describe that but into more description about this, keep it short and state something funny like "I have for a black belt in witty lines." or "I started out as a hand model before becoming a butt model" Also describe why you want to be in the army shortly or something fun about the uniform. Try to take a photo at army cadets or a gun range of you firing weapons or running through mud as this will show the more physical side of it.

Quote:
I'm really good at

Change this and make a short list, be creative and funny.

Destroying dance floors, opening jam jars, watching dogs behave badly, encouraging bad behaviour in animals, guitar hero, cooking 30 minute brownies in 20 minutes, leaving the house five minutes late, finding humour in inappropriate places.

Think up things that you find funny and list them here.

Quote:
The first things people notice about me

Keep it shorter, "I'm an Irish lad with an accent like Colin Farrell, with the charm of a leprechaun and I'm still looking for a little pot of gold" Work off this, say to girls we should compare accents in messages, ask for their number, Skype, good point of interest.

Quote:
Favourite books, music, film, food

No one really reads this part much, just write anything, a few popular films like The Dark Knight and some food like sushi, women love to talk about food so ask them questions like banana toffee or mint chocolate, you can even mention something about deciding between two flavours of Ben N Jerry's in this part, might get some responses. Mention some story about an all you can eat pizza hut session or how you like your toast done.
I used this once "I like my toast slightly done so if you share this in common, I'll probably date you just so we can make each other breakfast in bed and share witty banter".

Quote:
The Six things I could never do without

http://charlienox.com/2011/11/07/227/ Good tips for this.

Quote:
I spend a lot of time thinking about

Sounds good, it is short and pretty interesting, best thing on the profile.

Quote:
The most private thing I'm willing to admit

Nothing wrong with this either, most people won't care too much as long but light hearted and funny helps.

Quote:
You should message me if

Nothing wrong with this, short and sweet, people will message you if they like your profile or not.

Finally, use spaces like this guy uses to lay out your profile, some creative stuff on there http://www.okcupid.com/profile/spidersharks

So in total, keep the profile sweet, short, funny, to the point and creative.

The chart is an average male. Medium to slim Mediterranean breeds can keep a six pack till 50 with little effort. My Scottish mate always had a roll of fat no matter how fit he was. I'm more the chunky type now but I had a good six pack till 45 just surfingImage

I keep seeing this a lot on the net, I don't see plenty of sex-packed oldies here and we're of the Mediterranean breed.

NO. your pictures rock.

actually the last picture meets one of the criteria that OKTrends set out, based on statistical data. but you'd have to take Boo's advice to meet another one of their criteria. take your shirt off, basically. and do something interesting and engrossing....
http://blog.okcupid.com/index.php/the-4 ... -pictures/

there is more advice here, but basically you'd need to shorten the depth of field in your pix. it gives people a dreamy quality. you need a decent camera for it though.

You don't need a nose job! You don't need to work out more, I think you look great. It depends on who you are trying to attract of course, but I agree you are wise not to post the topless ones. They are a bit confronting!
I like the second photo best.

During my time on OkCupid (something like 9 months to 1 year) I had an average of 2 visits per week and a total of 4 girls (and a girl who could be a bot, a guy 8O ) contacting me. Of the girls I sent messages to (about 10, I think), only two replied. And my photos had an average score of 58 to 70 on that photo rating app they have. This is enough evidence that my profile was bad (also, I had no idea of what to say on messages, which is the primary reason I deleted my profile).

But thanks for the advice and compliments. Keep them coming!

I hope many canadians come here for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, then.

Go to a hair stylist and ask what hair would look best on your head, these people know, they cut hair all day. Note some images of film stars with long hair and consider it.

Get a stubble beard trimmer.

Stop wearing logos or band shirts and hoodies, only groups and girls in high school nineties grunge digg this.

Buy some nice shirts, leather jackets, grey, black or brown would suit you.

Buy a few photography magazines for inspiration in how to take photos.

Once you've done the above, go to a professional photographer.

Ive seen the logo advice quite a few times but its usually given in another way.

Trademark clothes will make you blend in. If thats what you are trying to achieve then it gets the job done.
If you are trying to come across as alpha you need to avoid them.

The magazine advice is pretty good but I think that the professional photographer advice may be an investment that most of us cant afford this days for a dating site profile.

Updating your profile is always a good way to get visits. You come up on their homepage when you do it. It's a strategy of mine, actually, if I haven't had a message in a while. I have a section on my profile that I update somewhat frequently. Often get messages after I do that.

Something you guys may want to consider as well:

If one does a search it says wether someone has contacted you or not during that week.
I think that some people may avoid looking at those that havent been contacted so you may want to send a short/nice message to one of your quiver matches(preferably as far away as possible)
Chances are that they´ll reply to this short message(mention something about their profile, dont mention anything about dating whatsoever) with some sort of thank you message and the hasnt been contacted in x time will disappear

Aye, my friend sends me a message every now and then for that reason! I get excited thinking I have a new contact, but it's just him

Wolfheart is ignoring me. By posting order, I should be the second in line, but he skipped my turn.

P.S.: The white eyes are not photoshopped. I can really do that with my eyes. 8)
