exactly

I am a moderate Republican, liberal Christian, but nearly everybody with the same interests is either a hippie or hipster--who refuse to associate with anyone outside their clique.

dude, why is it weird to you that people like to share fundamental values with intimate partners
why are you surprised liberal women don't want to date rebublicans when the party they support wants to take away her right to chose?

you make it sound like they're rejecting you because of something trivial, your idealogy isn't trivial

I'll probably be single forever, but unlike most fools I see this as a positive.

Interesting :) y'know, I was talking to dad the other day about this and he said 'well...maybe you like being single. Maybe you like having no ties to anyone and living how you please.'

Yet there aren't any Republicans with the same interests. And I wouldn't pursue them *because* they're liberal, but because they have the same interests.

it doesn't matter why you pursue them
I was just saying that I find it odd you're characterizing their rejection of conservatives as cliqueishness, when in reality it's not as arbitrary or superficial as that makes it seem

I don't disagree that you're looking for a unicorn
I just objecting a little to the idea that it's clannishness, and not incompatible fundamental values, that's keeping the liberal women away

It seems clear to me, from this thread, that women can be perfectly happy and single, but not so much for men. How many men do you know that are single and happy about it? (myself included, but in my case, it's perma-single)
