Asking for sex
I would say that if somebody were in a state of genuine "peak sexual arousal" then they would surely know about it.
All the study shows is that non-descript "healthy" people (of both genders), who watched non-specific porn clips, got slightly hotter crotch temperatures than they did while watching horror or comedy clips ; which may, or may not, indicate genuine arousal on a meaningful level - ie, in a way which relates to anything we were saying before you mentioned the study.
It's no less meaningful than using erections as an indication of arousal in men, in fact it's the same thing. In scientific papers, abstracts are not supposed to prove much, that's what the rest of the paper is for. An abstract is supposed to just be brief summary of what's in the paper. Unfortunately, none of us can access that paper without paying for it, which quite frankly is not really worth it just for the sake of arguing a point in an internet forum. The point is it's published in a peer-reviewed journal. The way it relates to what was said before is that you said that men get sexually aroused much more quickly than women and then used that as one of the reasons why men would more easily accept a random offer of sex than women, as per the original videos. I'm just pointing out that that's probably not the case.
Anyway, I don't derail this thread by continuously arguing about this. It's not the main topic but just a small point.
No woman is going to say yes on something like that, for it will be perceived as whorey and whow - what others think is ever so important. Did you know that there is hardly any difference in actual sex drive and longings between the sexes? Just the way to 'go there' differs, culture decides.
But I gotta say, 0%? yeah... whow.
Since the topic seems to be about research a little bit now, then I reckon that I may as well just post this -

I think the main point here is that women determine which genes and DNA are passed on to the next generation. They are the ones that have the babies so they have to be picky. That's why a lot of aspie males find themselves in a dilemma:

I believe the results would have been different if the male had also performed the mating dance.
The female was much more successful because of that, see:

The female is also playing sensually with her mane, see:

I think they need to have the male go through the experiment again.

Perhaps it's a remnant of evolution, rather than a direct correlation, since women who aren't intending to have children tend to be just as selective as those who do intend to produce children.
TBH, I think many woman are just keen to avoid the likelihood of shagging somebody like Deluge 1988 (or somebody equally as dodgy).
Did anybody else get a hilariously pathetic effort at a mean jeuvenile insult via PM from him, just now ?
I truly don't understand why so many men would agree to have sex with a total stranger, like that.

Several speed dating experiment where the roles were switched have actually shown that women are less picky (and men more) when the women have to make the first move.
This doesn't sound like it would be comparable... since there's a restrictive time limit, and because assumedly the women are considering who to approach in the context of wanting to question them as a potential dating partner.... rather than marching up and asking guys whether they want to go and have sex with them ?

Re: Looktwice
From experience, I have to respectfully disagree with that statement. Although it can go both ways, I've found through my own experiences that women who are in a position to have children are much more picky about who they choose as a mate. I've found that once women hit their 30s, they judge less based on looks, social status, & money.
There is the alternative; date women that I'm not attracted to but I don't go for that.

I would have to respectfully disagree in return.
I think that what you've just described is a totally inaccurate comparison.
If you consider women of a similar age, then I don't think there's a big difference in the choosiness of women based on whether they intend to have children or not.

Maybe your right- I think it's different for all women.
My experience has been what it has been though.
A single person's experience can not really be applied to large groups of people, however, I think.
That said, in my experience what I have said is true.
I would say that women who are all about going after guys who look good, have a lot of money and have social status aren't necessarily picky in the way many women would think of it however, as their "selectiveness" is comparatively superficial, and based on things which could be very temporary (rather than prioritising a more lasting concern like who the guy is as a person, ie their personality and suchlike)

I literally left the room on the floor flopping around this made me so uncomfortable. it was so socially crazy that my aspie brain went into sensory overload and i was on the ground squirming. I am surprised he didn't get arrested or any of the guys hit him in the face.
Also the woman was dressed much more attractively. I bet if he had abs and was walking around shirtless. But they probably thought he was a aerial killer or had stds. It is worth noting that he got a yes from another guy.
I laughed when the women were like "we are Christians, we believe in Jesus!" and then I ran out of the room. But one of those girls had her but hanging out of her pants.... Also if you notice he was asking whole groups of girls, so he was getting it done faster but also i think those girls were less likely to say yes with there friends around to judge them.

I noticed what you spoke of, and I definitely agree.
