How you celebrate Valentines day, is up to you. Until now there has been no Valentines day police, arresting me for thinking of Valentines day, as a day for presenting your beloved with something special on valentines day. As well that I neither see the materalism part about me trying to get the last fresh chestnuts, available for the season, and doing a sweetie he likes out of them. Nor do I think that the epic mount he gifted me with, will count as "materialistic gift". I mean it costed him 1000 gold coins, which were tons of money back in WoW-vanilla, but ... ^^

You dont have to buy flowers. Its stupid to buy like a robot flowers. Valentines day is not about being a robot, but its about showing your partner, that you care for him. If your partner does not like flowers, then gifting him/her with flowers, is showing the complete opposite, because of caring for stuff, thats important for your partner, you instead care for being an robot. My partner dont cares for flowers, so gifting him with flowers was stupid. Just as I dont care for flowers, so it was stupid of him to gift me with flowers. Except the marcipan roses he once created. ^^ Because I like marcipan. ^^

There has to be a choice. If a men in an relationship had no choice in that matter, then the Valentines police would have come for my husband now several times, but until now, noone cared for him not doing so. And I am sure, that he is a man, I had several opportunities to prove that.

That there is no guarantee for you getting coitus for you showing that you care to be a robot, seems pretty normal to me. I have never heard, that being a robot would give you any benefits about coitus. From where exactly do you have that informations?

Again I´d like to know the source of that information. Because by practice it must be wrong. My husband never bought me flowers, and still never got in trouble with the Valentines police.

I think other woman stopped gossiping me about that stuff a long time ago. For typical NT woman its pretty hard to tell them about the value of an epic mount, and the benefit it brings you when farming herbs for raids.

I think that something that is generally granted about being a matured human. Otherwise you simply lack skills, that are simply life necesarry. I think having the expectation on "being able to survive" is not that much. ^^

Some women seem not to take this abilities for granted in men, and specifically mention deficiencies in these areas as reasons to flee. And, men seem either to take these abilities for granted in women, or not to care about them.

Probably more women than men obsess about tidiness. And, one can be quite untidy and still have a long lifespan. Being tidy isn't necessary for survival. And, people who can't cook can still eat out a lot. In America, buffet restaurants are actually cheaper than buying and cooking your own groceries.

All the jewelry they advertise for valentines day looks gaudy to me,I don't want a big diamond encrusted heart necklace.And there is one that looks like a butt they advertise.It was designed by the actress that played Dr.Quinn,medicine woman.If someone gave me that I'd sell it.Its fugly.

Cheaters, gold-diggers, and elitists are all terrible. I wouldn't approach anyone like that, hence no running from them later.

Elitists probably wouldn't have much interest in most of us anyway. And gold-diggers aren't going to gain much.

Ok, I personally prefer saving my money intead of buying me every day new cloths, going to restaurants, move every 2 year into a new house to see some sun getting through the windows, as well as I like functioning water toilettes, that simply need some care from now and then. Just as I prefer to have my teeth longer then 15 years, and people not fleeing from me when entering a bus. ^^ We were talking about basical cleaning and cooking, which is something else then "being obsessed with cleaning". As I describe to people, my household respects the prime directive of Star Trek. You should clean just as often, that if you clean, it doesnt become an involvement into the cultural development of other life forms . ^^ Or else: Your fridge shouldnt refer to you as "mummy", when you open it. ^^
