It's so interesting that girls mature much earlier than boys and yet this is always an issue that of course is thrown to the boys. We live in an incredibly sick world where boys are constantly made out to be sickos, but girls are not. Most racy pictures are of underage girls, yet they are given a pass. The craziness of parents has truly gone too far.

That is NOT to say that I think kids should be having sex or an 18 yr old should be allowed to have sex with a 14 year old, but heck, underage kids should just not be allowed. Of course, the same parents who scream about such things are the same ones who let their sons and daughters hang out wherever they want without any adult supervision because they can't be bothered.

Forget her. You don't want to be considered a pedophile.

She's a 12 year old child. A child. Leave her alone.
Yeah. A 12-13 year old child can't handle being in a relationship if she can't take care of herself first. I'd go for a more mature girl, like mid14-15

You have to look up the law about statutory rape of the country you are in. Having a sex with someone who is younger than 16 years old is statuory rape in my country: the Netherlands. I myself tend to consider that paedophilia.

I mentionned statutory rape in an earlier post.

If he were to have sex with a 12 year old at the age of 16, it would be statutory rape in, probably, all states in the US. The degree of rape would vary.

To have sex with a prepubescent person is wrong, unhealthy, and indicative of someone who wants to dominate someone--and someone who doesn't care about the pleasure of the other person.

I don't think MonsterCrack has those kind of intentions, though. I think he has lots of things to think about and resolve. I do think he's a pedophiliac because he is a kid himself.

If he does, unless he wants to be a lover of some big guy in prison, he should keep them to himself. In New York State, he would be an adult in the eyes of the law, and perhaps sentenced to state prison.

For adulthood, no. For a 20 year old and a 16 year old, no but for a 12 year old and a 16 year old yes.

I don't think he is a pedophile. I think he is just someone who can get along better in that age range and that is where his social and emotional development is which is pretty common in us. I have always went for younger age groups and when I was 17, I was friends with a 10 year old which was my neighbor. But I am female so no one will even bat an eye if a girl is hanging out with a boy who is much younger than her. I didn't even like the kid that way, I only liked him as a friend and also because I felt sorry for him because his mom wasn't nice to him and she always left him alone so he missed school a lot and I felt relieved when social services got him. I wanted to call them myself but got told what I was seeing was emotional abuse and it's hard to prove. I figured the school must have called and I guess the lack of attendance was enough for them to remove him. Maybe in this case it would have been acceptable for anyone to befriend a child if there was child abuse or negligence.

Hmm apparently in my state the age of consent is 17. However there are exceptions....someone under 17 can apparently have sex with someone no more than 10 years older. And a 15 year old or younger can consent to sex with someone no more than 4 years older.

No you misunderstood....someone 17 or under but older than 15 can have sex with someone no more than 10 years older. So a 16 year old could have sex with a 26 year old. Its not if you're 16 you can have sex with someone 10 years younger.

And people 15 and under can have sex with someone no more than 4 years older. So that way you don't end up charging adolescents with pedophilia for having sex with each other.

In Texas, the maximum difference is three years and both must be at least 14 years old. Anyone younger than 14 cannot consent to sex at all.

Also, it gets a bit odd for 17 year olds. A 17 year old can initiate sex with someone more than three years older, but it is a felony for someone more than three years older to initiate sex with a 17 year old. Most people don't realize that there are two different laws on the subject and the prosecutor can pick and choose which laws to charge offenders under.

I think Colorado is a bit more reasonable in that case.

Friendship is good in and of itself, but if other people misinterpret it, you will be in big big trouble.
I'm not going to tell you what to do; given that you're not planning on doing anything objectively wrong, you can make decisions for yourself.

Just bear in mind:
Friendship=good
Other people misinterpreting= very very bad.
