Dancing sucks, I hate everyone who begs me to dance then who basically befriends me when I keep refusing. People like that need to die for the betterment of society's happiness.

I think I would take death by octopus over dancing if it came down to it.

Even a massive spamming spree doesn't compete.

I went out to a 'schoolprom' yesterday night.
Several girls danced next to/against me as an invitation to dance with them and i tried to do so but they kept telling me i wasn't dancing. (while i thought i was.)
The music was mostly hiphop and generic club-music.
Anybody have some tips?

Go someplace with decent music.

Did you have to take lessons or something because I know a lot of people who dance but have never heard of them taking lessons. I think if I just tried to do something I saw in a movie it would be an ugly scene.

Nope. The first time that I danced, I just hit the floor at my senior prom.
Did what the music told me to do. Shocked the hell out of everyone.

Since then, I've been on and off through my life,
but recently I've been adding little moves into
the basics. Airborne stuff, things that I've seen
tap dancers do, some kinda violent things too.

Thinking about taking tango lessons though,
as there is a decent amount of freedom in
it, AFAIK - plus, I like the way it looks. Never
really felt comfortable dancing WITH someone
though.

I do not dance. I do not like to dance. I do not want to dance.

It is in my opinion very pointless and a waste of my time.

I love dancing ! I just switch my brain off and my body does the thing, and it loves it ... it's like taking a dog for a walk. Don't think, dance.

Yeah. But sometimes it takes some thought
to prepare for certain moves that aren't just
automatic.

Unfortunately, I hurt my leg quite a bit
on Saturday. I may have to bind it to
dance on Thursday.
