Studies means NTs, and that is not relevant here. Scents is also an NT thing. And I didn't say where the limit was. For an ordinary guy it probably includes 90% of girls in his own age range.

It's not NT's thing, this is common for almost all species on this planet, are we THAT different? I don't think so. Usually we can scent smells even better than NT's, so it's even more important factor.

Physical attraction works through scent, not looks. Look and personality are factors in rejection of potential partner, and are culturally based.

What?

When I'm chatting with someone and considering hooking up.. we don't send each other's scents in the mail, we exchange pics & decisions are made nearly 100% on visual aesthetic attraction.

Scent is typically related to estrus, but humans of all types have concealed estrus, so this is unlikely to be relevant in that way.

Since internet dating is so reliant on the photos, looks are really important in internet dating. Getting to know someone in other ways eg at work makes looks less important (I'm not sure I'd ever say they were irrelevant). If your conversation is based on subjects that most women find boring, though, I suggest trying to meet women through your interests. That should give you the best chance of a) You being judged as interesting/appealing and b) being judged on that rather than your looks.

Scent IS important in physical attraction, in conjunction with decent (not necessarily good) looks, and personality.

I get turned on by English accents, and women talking about something like literature or economic with or without that accent.

There are many elements to physical attraction.

Bad breath and (sometimes) bad skin turns me off.

Kissing a lady’s dainty fingers turns me on.

You know who doesn't judge a potential date based on their looks?

Blind people. That's it.

Neurodiverse people are more sensitive to smells because of tracking, not because of courtship. Neurodiverse courtship typically happens at a distance, which is the primary reason scent is irrelevant.

When you know someone and you like them, you look at them looking for things in their looks that you find attractive. When you're scrolling through photos of complete strangers you're looking for any excuse to cut them.

I wonder how many people here think a combo of high intelligence and kindness are attractive? [a rare combo in my experience]

I'm not attracted to intelligence. I'm not very smart myself & my 2nd girlfriend was pretty smart & she didn't value my input on things related to our realtionship because she felt she knew better. I also find women who apprear to be less intelligent funny & cute besides being more relatable.

I definitely find those traits attractive in one's personality/non-aesthetic attractive components. I think others do as well. I've been told by some who've been attracted to me that they're attracted to those very things in me, so it's a real phenomenon for others. Y'all can think I'm a crazy a**hole all you want, but I'm a relatively intelligent guy (I have no idea what my IQ is because I've never had a reason to find out) & have been described by some as "the nicest guy in the world." I've literally given someone the shirt off my back. But w/e, people here seem to think I'm a stupid a**hole or something. *shrug* Oh well.
