I believe I was incredibly lucky to find my soulmate... but there are plenty of big and small problems we need to work through every day. That's life. No living happily ever after.

If you put some effort into it, yes.
Love is a living thing. You need to water your plant to keep it growing. Some seem to discard their love once they see the flowers fade.

Exactly. Humans are not adapted to having sex all the time with anybody. We are adapted to forming strong bonds and then raising children together as a couple. That's why the "sexual attraction" that goes with the mating game in animals more or less lack relevance for humans. My bet is that it got popularized as contraceptives became common so sex would no longer result in babies to support.

I had a very special cat who was my "soulmate" cat. Her name was Samantha. I know how you feel about Chloe.
