That's usually right bat there are exceptions. My son is blonde but has dark brown eyes. My daughter is blonde and has green eyes. They are kind of bluish with a light brown ring in the middle that does mix to a green.
My hairs are ash blond but may become light blonde if sun and salt water are bleaching them.
