This person is more than creepy----he can be charged with a misdemeanor in NY State:

Forcible Touching, where you can get a year in jail and be required to register as a sex offender. And if you're convicted about three times, it's the Penitentiary for you, because it becomes a felony.

There's a major difference between not hanging out with paedos and not hanging out with: autistic people, poor people, people with mental illnesses which make them more of a risk to themselves than others (such as anxiety/depression).

It's not snobbish to not hang out with bad people. It's a good idea. Cut contact with him.

And actually, you're entitled to be snobbish in your choice of friends when it comes to harmless people, too. I'd rather have HFA, well educated, creative friends. That's my prerogative. The chavs I don't hang out with would rather not hang out with a geeky autistic weirdo* so it cuts both ways...
