So, what's YOUR favourite eye colour on a guy, Boo?

and i know its rude but i always have an instinctual mistrust for people with very light eyes, of whatever colour

I am totally indifferent.

I don't often recall people's eye colors, they are not the first thing I notice about new people I meet.

I've always found odd how others give too much attention to eyes' colors, and it seems to be the first thing they register in their memory when they meet someone new.

Such real-life conversations often happen with me:
Someone : "Do you recall that green-eyed guy who came yesterday? He's the one I am talking about"
Me: "He has green eyes?"

As for my preference of which color on girls, I think it all depends on how this particular color looks with her skin/hair color, it's a combo matter.

I notice hair first. Sometimes, that's the only thing I remember.

This poll needs an option for it does NOT matter. Like the typical Aspie stereotype I avoid eye contact & looking at eyes & I also have some colorblindness so I do NOT notice what color eyes are at all

Me, too! I don't think it rude, though, I just think it's something inborn that I can't help (I'm brown-eyed, as is everyone in my family). And for me it's not so much mistrust as I simply don't "register" people with non-brown eyes the same way that I register brown-eyed people.

My ex-husband has intense blue eyes and it took me a long time to get used to them. Turns out he *was* completely untrustworthy, but I don't think it's because he has blue eyes.

I'd say really dark brown, but I've met girls who have lovely green or pale grey eyes. My preferences certainly don't go purely on colour.

Oddly though, I've noticed that I'll always remember the colour of her eyes if I'm genuinely interested in her. It's as though my brain automatically makes a note of it at the exact same time as deciding "I like her." I have a 'thing' for hair, so I've no idea why the detail of eye colour sticks in my memory.

Heterochromia's kinda cool though. I'd definitely remember that, because it's so unusual.

Some people with very pale, gray or blue eyes used to make me very uncomfortable. I never got the whole blue eyes hype.

Green eyes are different, I thought. (My mother's eyes are green).

But then I've realized it's all just prejudice. Blue eyes can be beautiful.Still, I don't see rare eye colours as superior.

I think I do have a slight preference for dark eyed men (and when I say dark, I don't just mean hazel or simply brown... I mean so dark they appear black from afar and you need to get really close to see their real colour). Like Colin Farrell or like many black or Asian men have.

& is it just me or are light eyes are associated with bad in films n stuff? inhuman characters always seem to be given them (zombies, voldermort etc...)

It depends. It's still often a norm for "good" characters to have blue eyes (or to be as white as possible). I mean, most of the good characters in Lord of the Rings movies had blue eyes, even if the actors were brown eyed (like Orlando Bloom).

So, blue eyes are still seen as beautiful and dark eyes are often seen as, if not completely bad, at least not as sexy as blue eyes.

On the other hand, some movies emphasize the "creepiness" of very light eyes. (Like ice blue eyes, etc.) An example: Red Eye with... Cillian Murphy!

That's pretty much what convinced me that Daniel Craig was a great actor. The fact that he convinced me he was not only Bond, but an attractive Bond (despite being blond and blue-eyed). Of course, it didn't hurt that he took his kit off...
