What the HELL is wrong with girls?
If you: "only do what you like to do"
And this results in you not doing "the types of activities that lead to meeting women in the real world"
Does it logically follow that:
1) You don't really want to meet your dream girl? Or
2) Does it mean your dream girl isn't in the real world?
Or is there some other option I'm missing?
It means that not many girls, at least in Podunk where I live, are into RPG's, sci fi or computer programming. There are a few into libertarian politics, believe it or not, but they are all taken. The only single ones I ever see around town anyway are either still in high school (jail bait), or ewwww doesn't even begin to describe them. So, I'm sure she is in the real world, but nowhere near where I live. And yes I want to meet her, that is why the advice of "quit looking" doesn't fly... in order to have a prayer of meeting her I have to actively search in places I would not have any logical reason to be otherwise. Like online for profiles listed in cities far away from here.

Heh, funny you say that caus my mom and sister always say I'm scarey when I'm mad o.O
No but seriously, I was having a very bad day when I started this topic.
I'm not usually like that, in a forum or in life.
But most teenage girls are weak! Weak minded, weak willed, and have nerves more fragile than ice crystals. Go for the older girls in their 20s.
My experience is those type of girls don't get over jerkaphilia until their looks go to sh** and still single, or they get knocked up and suddenly have a baby to take care of. Avoid the archtype at all costs.

Damn straight.
Most of them talk big, but as soon as I tell them 'go ahead, do it now' the leave.

this is one of the reasons I push online... it broadens your search tremendously!
I had an ad on a New Zealand website for awhile. Never met anyone, but I chatted with a few, and my Canada ads got mail from all over the world. A few guys came from the States to meet me, nobody from further afield...
I ended up engaged to someone from 10 minutes away, but he could have been from anywhere -- and I met him online too! We move in totally different worlds and wouldn't have met without the internet.
I'm talking about opening yourself up to possibility in a way that isn't achievable IRL. Better dating through technology.
Personally, I bought a motorcycle.
It gives me enough of the 'thug-vibe' that I'm more attractive to women, and it doesn't require me to do anything that makes me feel sick about myself.
Heck, if anything, I'm helping the environment since it's fuel-efficient.
It's also a lot of fun to drive and it helps me avoid putting miles on my 68' Chevelle (which will be dead-sexy once it's restored).
Do I have a girlfriend... Er... Nope. Never... but the some of superficial ones do wave at me now when I drive by. Maybe it doesn't help all that much...
I'd try that, but do to extreme paranoia, my parents have a filter on my PC. And due to the fact that I suppose they want me to be alone my whole life, they've blocked all social networking stuff.
They want me to be straight (not that I have any issues with being gay, I'm straighter than Hefner) but they don't want me to have a girlfriend. Which is really kinda dumb...
Now be that as it may I've had gf's before (even though they left within a week). And they know it. I really don't care.

AHHH, now that sounds like your biggest hurdle right there. Dude, you need to get a job, save up some money, and move out as soon as you turn 18. Getting cockblocked by your peers is one thing, but by your parents is another entirely. Run, don't walk, into your own life as soon as you get the chance.

Geography might be a problem for me too. But you'd think that it wouldnt give the city I live in and the culture. But I learned recently that people in PDX(young(er)people) Actually DONT make use of online dating here because there are so many oppertunities to meet people in person since Portlanders seem to be just SO Damn Social. I'd like to find the not-so-social ones.......

Here! Here! Nice post! Think of yourself as the guy in this music video!
They kind of flash by it, but notice at the beginning how he flips off his old man.

dude, those r the popular preppy sluts i bet. i suggest u just stay away. dont be stupid and be a tough guy. those broads will have a rude awakening when they're on their own.
u know wat i hate? how they say u should being good is bad. if being bad is good and good is bad, then being good should be ok because they say its bad to be good and they want someone whos bad. its a twisted paradox, but its so true.
