Funny, that wasn't quite my point...
We overcome our brutish tendencies in other areas of life; is it really asking too much for women to be treated as thinking human beings, rather than just orifices?

Sounds to me like you were just picking the wrong Aspie guys.

It is kind of sad but you may be on to something here.

I have had throughout my life plenty of friends whom were girls, that were interested in me, cool, funny, made great company, etc....

However I have only had feelings for girls that were at the least physically attractive, ontop of that I have yet to date a girl that wasn't both physically attractive and intelligent.

I find that I usually turn 3 or 4 girls down for every one I persue something with.

I just consider it having high standards.

I'm way more obsessed with looks than I should be. It's not that I think they're more important than personality. Rather, most people just don't attract me at ALL. It's like, to be even remotely attractive to me, you have to be...REALLY hot. Which sucks, but I can't help it.

I agree 100%. I think its unnatural to force an attraction. Especially men, since we're proven to be more visual than women.

I am as shallow as as it gets when it comes to women. I only want to date gorgeous women.

There are 2 reasons for this.

1) I have OCD and notice just about any flaw in a woman's looks and I obsess over those flaws.

2) There is absolutely a correlation between looks and personality. Most (not all) gorgeous women tend to not say much. Most (not all) gorgeous women don't have attitudes and are laid back. I am attracted to that kind of personality (basically, none).

Nah I don't think it's true, not all men including aspies men prefer good looks.

Ofcourse, I admit I get attracted to good looks at 1st, but for me personality matters the most when I'm looking for a woman. And after all doesn't beauty come from within?

I wouldn't say they're any more obsessed than normal guys.. but they ARE obsessed. I've seen very nasty comments about women on this forum.. and I see them on NT forums also.

I think part of it may be several aspie men find it hard to get a GF so they've become accusomed to the perfect porn/model look.

I can hardly believe Sorenna's love stories with that many aspie men , as if aspie pop-up like mushrooms where she lives.

[sarcasm] Sorenna , does your town people eat too much fish ?

I'd say looks are inevitably a factor, for sure. But not all-consuming or defining: it's never that simple, or at least the causes aren't.

I have had this problem somewhat. One thing I think that's worth noting is that it's pretty hard for someone with AS(well, me anyway) to find a girl whose personality matches well with theirs, so that might cause a greater focus on looks.
