Why do some men complain about how unappealing single mothers are, and simultaneously assume that women who don't have any kids are likely to be "ticking time bombs" who will eventually try to coerce them into having kids even if the woman has stated, "I don't have kids and I have always been sure I don't want any"?
This makes no sense if the man is actually attracted to women, or so it seems to me . . .
So do you think guys like this are secretly gay? Or traumatized? Or suffering from some kind of phobia or mental illness?
I actually run into this attitude among men so frequently, I wonder if it's a cultural thing (BTW, I live in the US) . . . or if there could be other factors. 
Anyone have any thoughts on this? I just want to understand; I don't intend to sound critical of men like this or men in general.
