It was a nice date. She's definitely quite interesting and plenty talkative. We've chatted since the date basically everyday. Nothing really happened though, no first moves or even hand holding. However, I've definitely made a friend. There's some flirtatious banter going on but I'm not sure which direction this is going to go. I know she saw it as a date because we both referred to it as a date, so I don't think there's any confusion on intentions here. I think we're on the same page. I'm just not sure which page that is exactly. Time and conversation will tell.

:? My girlfriend and I are both straightforward and kind people, yet I still struggle to understand her emotional needs. She wants surprise gifts even when she doesn’t need anything, she wants me to act possessive—so she pretends to pull away—and she wants me to compliment her, so she undermines herself. I find this confusing and exhausting, and now she feels hurt and guilty seeing my exhaustion but doesn’t fully understand why.

I can quite honestly say that flirting has never been an issue in my life to date

I'm seriously blind to it
I don't notice it and to my knowledge I don't do it
