I won't believe that is a fact until you back it up with some proof....thus far your proof only implies typically males have a higher sex drive than females, not that its more difficult for them to have sex. Also even if sex is always harder for males to get....I still don't see how that translates to girls who've had lots of sex being whores.

Really you don't believe that? It's quite strange. Dunno just look at vids of guy/girl asking random strangers for sex in the street, on a number of 100 people 30 men said yes and 0 women. I believe in places like bars/discos at night it would even increase, because less single people.
I don't know why you say this, the very fact that a guy who sleeps around gets judos and a girl is called a slut should be enough for you to believe it.

That only explains the part about the man getting kudos for sleeping around. The mere fact that something is easy doesn't ordinarily mean you're anything remotely as offensive as a "slut" for doing it. When you have an itch, you scratch it. Scratching is easy; are you a slut for doing it? Eating healthy food is easy for most people living today in the developed world; are you a slut for doing it, instead of following an intentionally unhealthy diet?

The number of easy things we do ordinarily is enormous, and it'd never occur to us to call someone a "slut" for doing them. So the reason women who sleep around, or simply who have sex and enjoy it, are called sluts, and why this word condenses such a primal contempt, is not how easy it is for them to do it.

Taking history and biology into account, it isn't hard to realize slut-shaming is about telling women they don't own their bodies, because they're not free human beings, like men, but some man's property. Their owners---or those who would like to own them---want to dictate whom they do or do not have sex with, so naturally they resent any hint that women can choose themselves, let alone look for their own pleasure, instead of being objects to be used for someone else's enjoyment.

I didn't post the video for its title. The guy got mugged. Even though he looks quite worked out, he knows his muscles are no match for those of the orangutan, who could easily tear him apart if he got furious. The orangutan knew the food was his the moment he smelled it and didn't hesitate to claim it, abiding competently by the law of the jungle. No waste of precious energy. Only what you can defend is yours.

What can I say, you're right. Luckily today often it's not like this. Another reason is that there was no DNA testing back then so the wife sleeping only with the husband was the only way to be sure of the fatherhood of the child.

There is that, but I am not so sure I'd view prostitutes/hookers/escorts as sluts....I mean they have sex to make money, not because they're horny and want to get laid. Of course I know the term whore has been applied to prostitutes, and well I think most people would see that as derogatory maybe. Idk I think prostitution should be a legal industry....then its safer for the women involved and of course doesn't make it illegal for one to pay to have sex to satisfy their urges if they cannot find another way to to do so. But I suppose thats is a topic for another thread.

the purple haired girl at the shop seemed rather cranky today. as i walked out she said "yeah well f**k you too" which seemed to be a response that was influenced by my eagerness to buy what i came to buy and leave.
i had no desire to talk and she is living in a world where she "needs" people, and she needs to look at people who need to be looked at i guess. i am not one of them.

i do like her in a comparative way, but i can do without her. she seems to have worked that out and is marginally disgruntled by the fact.

she is a very pretty girl who seems to attract a horde of admiring male conversationalists at the counter she serves at, but she seems to be unsatisfied with their attention. poor girl. i do know that she is not very happy but what can i do? i am sure she is suffering in a way that i have never experienced, yet she is a very pretty young woman.

so maybe some girls like her have it bad even though they may have what the males who envy them covet.

i just have not enough time to devote to her. she is like a cat who needs to be stroked and gets in one's face all the time, but as time goes by, i start to realize i like her much, but she can take care of herself.

it would be good i guess to be close with her and i think she also thinks that way, but she and me are different people.

i am happy to live the rest of my life without company if i do not like any company i encounter.

I think all these gender wars threads should be consolidated into two: "Find a double standard among the sexes and post it here", and "Complain about the opposite sex here". These arguments are nothing new, they're just retreads of retreads of retreads.

i often wondered what a jaded mind was, but until i started listening to people who have been chronically disappointed, i never knew.
also, people who's brains are simply tired due to age also seem to summarize their experiences into a low resolution matrix.

In my personal view they are no more than women who do the same. But still, this is not what we were talking about.
