I have experienced limerence several times, however.

Maybe it is something like that?

From Wikipedia:

Quote:
Limerence is a state of mind resulting from romantic feelings for another person. It typically involves intrusive and melancholic thoughts, or tragic concerns for the object of one's affection, along with a desire for the reciprocation of one's feelings and to form a relationship with the object of love.

My NT sister is 37 and I am 34. We have a paternal uncle who every time he visits always asks if she has found herself a boyfriend. My NT sister is openly asexual much to the dismay of our uncle who believes asexuality isn't real, that she's making it all up and that she's using her age to get out of having a boyfriend, therefore her answer to him is always "No."

So basically she's projecting when she insists that sex is the only reason why some people would want a relationship.

Because in her mind sex is the main appeal, and she has no use for sex, she struggles to understand what else would motivate someone towards wanting a relationship.

Oh she sounds like my daughter

Uncles can be like that sometimes. I don't think they get it

Our uncle tried setting up my sister with some men from where he works, but she said no to all of them.

My first girlfriend's name was King. Her ex-boyfriend was named Abbott. He left her for a girl named Pope.

This is perfectly true by the way.

Certainly random, and vaguely traumatic depending on your perspective, at one of the sites my team goes to twice a month there’s a female associate that reminds me of my wife. More so based on: same company she worked for, roughly the same age, similar interest, stuff that isn’t too hard to overlap mind you.

I don’t have any feelings for her, but it’s a reminder I can never shake when I see or talk to her. I haven’t told her of my wife’s passing, I doubt she knew her mainly and also it’s a mark that isn’t easily forgotten once known, but I'm unsure if she knows or not. It isn’t a distressing matter, I’m simply curious if it will ever come to pass.
