These arguments are nothing new, they're just retreads of retreads of retreads.

retreads can not be made from retreads. they can only be made from an original design. once they have ripped free from the tire, they are de-treaded debris.

tired minds often compartmentalize things into easily sort-able platitudes.
i often wondered what a jaded mind was, but until i started listening to people who have been chronically disappointed, i never knew.
also, people who's brains are simply tired due to age also seem to summarize their experiences into a low resolution matrix.

Well, this entire thread is just a regurgitation of well documented memes, I have yet to see an original argument in it. It's a tit-for-tat gender war and it's been played over and over on this site. It would be different if either side would attempt to find common ground and a workable theory on how to make the genders more equitable, but it's just a series of attacks and counter-attacks with both sides hunkering down. It's cold war that could use a little detente.

In my personal view they are no more than women who do the same. But still, this is not what we were talking about.

It is what I was talking about.

Obviously I do, because in my "your posts" section it's at the top more than some of the "game" threads I made the mistake of posting in...it's bloody annoying.

You already made a few posts about this, be careful or people will start thinking that you're jealous. :P

If I don't remember it wrong, he had an admirer that could have been his gf, but he passed. He seems to be a really picky one.

I *am* jealous! Why wouldn't I? Jealousy is a part of humanity.

But that doesn't mean I wish ill or something. :P

Yes, probably I am.... or let's say, I am picky when it comes to easiness of relationship, I don't want one which is too much hassle especially from the start.

I am little "jerk" at that, when I realize the relationship will be too much hassle from the start (ie. single mother with toddler children or there will be distance soon...etc) I tell them to keep it casual , FWB and nothing more.

and there''s one who really likes me nowadays (she's been so for years), but too religious to me, so I just keep her as a friend. lol

I think in such a case it'd be best to exclude the sexual component of the friendship, if they fall for you I mean.
