Me too, actually.

It'll be the first soap opera where all the drama occurs online.

And, you can have the characters all have social media accounts so viewers can interact with them.

Imagine if that sort of thing took off? I don't think there is anything like that on television, but it would resonate with a lot of people.

Quick, let's delete those posts and work on a show proposal.

Fast forward a few weeks: We now present Wrong Planet, the series.

Haha, I think that currently, a WP style narrative would be good for autistic people but NTs probably wouldn't get it. I mean, in current soap operas aimed at the general population, they have bits of online content mixed in with soap opera people's storylines.

Maybe fast forward a few decades when autistic folk take over the world, it'll happen? 8)

I'd love to see a soap opera where all the characters are recluses and shut-ins.

SFBUM Would definitely have a starring role

The particularly interesting potential with stories on online forums, I think, is the stuff the audience could see or know but not necessarily all the characters. The audience could see the smile, laugh, or tears hidden behind the screen for example.

Bringing this back to L&D, what audiences would really want to know and would keep them invested is if Tarquin666 and Eloise will end up together. That would be a lot of fun to write about.

If you’re wondering why the name Tarquin, blame his parents. He certainly does.

I think it's funny sometimes the things that might attract you to a person

I think that sometimes you might not even know what it is that attracts you to someone

And also sometimes you can have nice feelings for someone but you don't know why because they're not really any different to anyone else but they make you have nice feelings still

And I've worked all that out by myself

As someone who has, at times unfortunately, watched soap operas before, I always maintain the joke that a good spoof would be called "The Boring and The Brilliant". A show about people who don't fall into the usually campy misunderstandings that usually drive plots along. Very on the nose

Yeah, I agree with all of this, bb.

Sometimes the reason why people give you nice feelings isn't so obvious to describe with words.
