Cute kids (in both pics)

I seriously doubt either of them will ever care when they got older that their mom/dad posted a safe picture of them on some autism forum.

Back on topic. What about the reverse? Say a 120 lb guy?

That'd be my problem - I'd say it's probably worse than being a somewhat overweight guy...

No. Underweight is waaaaaay better than overweight (for my tastes, at least).

I happen to like skinny guys, but I don't like jelly bellies.

*shudder*

When it comes to the dating world, I think that the short guy is a closer equivalent to the overweight girl than the overweight/skinny guy do. (and very rarely the equivalent to the short girl).

What cute kids they are, Grisha!

I'm sorry... what? I didn't quite catch that. I was too busy posting a picture of my rugrats. :-D

Back on topic with an old thread: what about the word "fat"?

A guy who also uses the computers here talked about one of the people who works here as "that fat girl". That sounds bad to me. derogatory, more than "husky".

Used in that context, it is derogatory.

I hate that word. It pretty much says, "hey, you're bigger and I'm looking down at you for it." I'm usually against being politically correct but weight, self-esteem and depression are so closely linked that you think people would be more considerate. :(

Weight shouldn't be an issue when judging someone's potential dating quality, but it should be an issue if being overweight/underweight starts leading to complications like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart failure, etc. These health concerns, in turn, could decrease the quality of sex (for example, a man might not be able to "get it up" during intercourse).

so... skinny people with high blood pressure and diabetes should be avoided too? because lots of thin people also have health problems like that, and it would be really hard to tell who they are without a health checklist on the first date.

I dunno really...I dated a girl bigger then me and weighed about 15 stone at the time (maybe more).

I weren't comfortable how she slobbered and stuff :?...then I went out with a Podgy girl but we never really dated from my POV...

Then I went out with a skinny girl...and I personally feel that up to a point I have my limits....I won't date a girl who's too big and heavy (since I've tried it and actually it put me off for life) and despite me and the skinnu girl being friends...I think you need at least some meat on a woman.

Up to a point it matters but the personality counts more.

yeah my paternal grandfather is 6'1" and 168 pounds and he has now developed diabetes and has always had high blood pressure despite being thin
