Because if you date someone desperate, there's a good chance that they are with you just for someone to be with, not because they like you. People want to be valued for themselves, not as placeholders.

I really think desperate women would genuinely like me after a while so I have a hard time understanding why women don't feel that way about desperate men


But before that, you're nothing but the companionship equivalent of a sex-doll. YOU don't matter; the only thing that matters is that the only persons' loneliness is alleviated.
I find it hard to see how someone with self-respect could want that.

I have self-respect but I also care about others & I really do believe they will like me because of the way I care about em but even if they don't; as long as they want to be with me even if it's because they're less lonely; I don't see the problem

I'd be happy just to have a wife/partner at all. I could put up with a few foibles, for that.

You nailed it their I'm willing to bet most men here would settle in a heartbeat , the same can not be said of the women here (they have self respect and dignity)

Any women willing to settle out of curiosity ?
