^^^ that is pretty standard i think. it is sorta like saying, "women like penises that are... properly cared for." well, no kidding.

Friends share their problems a few times and that's it. If one of my true friends started dumping his problems onto me 3-4 times a month and didn't want to have anything to do with me otherwise, I'd tell him to man the f..k up. :D

For every emotional conversation, there should be a two digit number of conversations about music, sports, cars, movies, tips for development at the gym and so on, i.e. Interesting conversations. THATS what friends are for.

Well I probably talk about my problems a lot more than just 3 times a month. I think its more like i would bring up my problems every day. As far as "more interesting" topics I simply don't know much about them (certainly not about cars or sports or anything like that). Now, being self centered and not being familiar with other things is part of Asperger. So I am actually surprised that aspies complain that NT girls treat them this way. Could it be that Aspies simply get back whatever they give and they don't notice that?

Now, in terms of the other person talking TO me, I would have similar standard. I would gladly listen to them bringing up their problems every day for the simple reason that this is one of the few ways in which I can actually participate. If they bring their problems I can try to think how to make them feel better and so forth. If on the other hand, they talk about cars, I simply have nothing to say, I don't know much about cars.

Women traditionally select the man based on status. So the fact that the woman is not willing to be my girlfriend is a reflection of the fact that she sees me as low status. Now, why would anyone (male or female) want to be friends with anyone else (male or female) who judges them? They won't.

Women don't select men based solely on status(maybe they did in the 1800's). There is SO much more that goes into it. Now, if a woman rejects you entirely because of her social status, than that is a bit shallow, but ultimately, it's her decision who she wants to give her romantic affection to, and she has every right to make her choice. And you could still have a great friendship with her regardless.

So, by looking at parts in bold, you are saying that you would be willing to have great friendship with someone who judges you negatively for your low social status. Now, why would anyone do that? I don't care if its a male or female -- if someone can't look past my low social status I don't see how I can be friends with them without major damage to my self esteem.

Besides, don't try and tell me that you don't prefer certain women as potential partners for shallow reasons. Everyone is shallow to some extent.

Well if one of the people whom I rejected for "shallow" reasons was willing to be friends with me, that would make me feel quite a bit surprised.

It's always been my opinion that basically speaking, Vaginas require a hell of a lot more maintenance and upkeep than a penis does.. which if your parents allowed the doctors to make that extra 400$ when you were a baby, effectively needs no upkeep except for showering. I mean I am aware that there are Urologists, but most guys don't go to see them on a regular basis.. not until things stop working like they should.. where as, I gathered, women go to the OBGYN on at least some sort of schedule like mammograms.. I of course could be wrong, not being a woman, I'd have no reason to know for certain how you plan your doctors appointments.

That only emphasizes my concern further. So these other guys get female attention that they don't even want, while I am sitting here desperately wanting "something" and not getting anything at all. This proves that I have low social status. And that low status is precisely why I can't be friends with someone LJBF-ing me since that only brings me down further.

they really don't require any more upkeep, no. they are more prone to a couple of types of infection, but upkeep doesn't keep those at bay and they are so unpleasant that nobody really ignores them.

and there are annual tests, but that's not really upkeep either (though it could be considered maintenance). why would a guy care if a woman went to the ob/gyn for a pap smear?

Speaking of upkeep, these things require plenty of it.

You are turning a molehill into a mountain looking for something to lash out at me about. Please stop. It was just a figure of speech.

you seriously think that was lashing out?

i am explaining how the upkeep works, because you made a very odd disclaimer.

what i never quite understand about LJBF is that people in my life aren't JUST friends... i treasure my friends and i hold them in high esteem. it is a slightly different sort of relationship but i do not think of it as lesser. when people have decided that they don't really want to be friends with me it hurt me as much as romantic rejection.

No I said you are LOOKING FOR reasons to lash out at me. As in, you are fishing to see if I will make a comment which you can then lash out at. Excuse me if I was incorrect, but it wouldn't be the first time you've done that to me on this site. I appreciate the explanation, but I more or less already knew, growing up in a household with 3 women made it unavoidable.

i don't lash out at you. everything that any of us posts on the site is open to disagreement. i disagree with you a lot.
