You do not have to block a number if you do not want to answer a call. Just don't answer. Simple as that.

Why all the drama? If you don't want to speak to these people then why are you answering all their calls?

Why is it that so many people seem to think that if their phone rings, THEY MUST ANSWER? I don't get it. You are not a slave to your phone. :? Feel free to ignore it if you want. It's only a machine.

Maybe you missed what he said a few pages ago, but she comes from a clan, which is kind of like the Lebanese equivalent of the Cosa Nostra.

Anyway, Boo, maybe you shhould not worry about it. her cousin seems to be a wuss. And it looks like she is not involved in the family business. Maybe you should just do as Plodder suggested.

No, I didn't miss it. I read the whole thread. I don't understand your comment. Why does the fact that she comes from a clan mean that he is somehow obliged to answer the calls? It makes no sense. To me, the fact that somebody came from a violent clan would be even more reason not to answer their calls. If a message came up on my phone saying: "Incoming call from violent killer. Answer? Yes or no?" I would definitely hit: "no!"

Boo has stated that he has installed an app on his phone allowing him to block the calls now, but what I don't understand is why he didn't just ignore them as soon as things started to turn bad.

Perhaps he was just worried that not answering them would make them even more angry and more likely to seek revenge. I don't know. Was that the reason, Boo?

Blocking the calls is basically going to have exactly the same effect as ignoring them. The clan will be calling your number and not being able to get through, so blocking them will make them just as as angry as not answering would.

I'm not sure why you think that blocking is preferable to plain old not answering. Personally I would not block the calls, because if you leave them unblocked at least you will be able to monitor whether they are still calling you or not.

If you monitor the calls, and they stop, that is probably a good sign that they have given up, and are not harassing you any more and no longer pose a threat, but if you block them, you will have no way of knowing if they are still trying to call or not.

For the same reason why you block someone on the msn, for not being harassed anymore.
And it's for blocking her nb in particular.

More like Boo's mess. I would prefer doing the parapente as adventure.
