I don't even have a girlfriend yet, but I've already decided I want a small wedding. No more than 30 people, including myself, my bride, and the minister. My grandmother recently passed away, which makes me sad because she'll never see her firstborn grandson get hitched.
As for the rest of my family, the only folks I'd want at my wedding for sure are my mother and sister. Having my Dad there would be great, plus my stepmother Dotty. Everyone else I'm not too concerned about, and some would just cause a ton of trouble.
Honestly, so long as we're married both legally and in the eyes of God, every other detail is minor by comparison. If my wife wants to wear a white dress, fine; the same for street clothes...I don't care. I haven't worn a suit in probably 15 years, and would prefer to continue avoiding them.
