My son is in his early forties and does not drive. He learned how, failed his practical test and never tried again. He lived in a large city and took the bus or subway. His long term girlfriend didn’t drive either. He’s married now and his wife has a car and drives them both when they go out. They have no issue with it.
I failed my first test, I could only take it two more times, luckily second test the lady gave me break on some things so I barely passed.
She doesn’t resent him for it?
I’m sure they get comments from people at the least
I do when my sister drives me places, everyone expects the man to drive. I’ve been told I’m not a man because of it few times.
As far as I know she doesn’t resent him for it.
When I was young I used to think it was odd to see the woman driving and the man as a passenger. But back then a lot of older women did not drive. I used to wonder if the guy had lost his license. But that was 40 years ago. My husband and I worked in the same office for years and I did most of the driving. In part it was because I got free parking, so we took my car and because it was my car I usually drove. But my husband didn’t like driving in city rush hour and I didn’t mind, so that was part of it. He didn’t mind me driving at all and I didn’t mind doing it.
