Do you mean a year for anything sexual, or for PIV?

I was almost a year for PIV because of my trauma. He stood by me.

I think it's generally the most responsible choice, given that you don't want to bring a child into the world without a (hopefully) stable home.

I'm pretty religious, so yeah. I personally don't care what other people do.

Marriage doesn't magically make homes stable that weren't otherwise so.

My abusive marriage did not generate stability; it just made getting out of that situation more difficult. I've known folks who weren't married and who had a stable home.

If you can do that, get married, and stay married - it's probably the most optimal route.

If you have to grapple with the world on it's terms for any sort of interaction - so long as it doesn't bother you and so long as you respect yourself enough that it won't be a downward spiral.

I meant anything. The principal being if they just want sex they won't wait, if they want you they will and they are more likely to be a good match.

Again it depends on what they mean by sex. Before I was married, if somebody to whom I was attracted told me they'd get naked with me, make out and give me hand jobs but no PIV, I would have cheerfully agreed even if my chief motivation was to have a regularly available outlet for my physical urges. Which of course doesn't preclude my actually liking the person in question, but sex could be my main motive for pursuing the "relationship". I can say that because I was in such a situation. However, as a person looking for sex, if somebody told me she and I wouldn't even take our clothes off until she'd somehow gotten it sorted, which could take a year or forever, then that would be a deal breaker. If I was up for that then I wouldn't fall into the category of somebody who just wants sex.

Since you all asked, I shall give you a very intense history lesson on the fish bladders.

Back in the Victorian times in England, when people were reaaaally stupid and didn't know what basic hygiene was there was this honour system, and one of the major rules of this system (but only for women because they loved to pick on the women obviously) you were not allowed to have sex before marriage. Which for some reason was usually really a big thing in the very strict Christian families back then. Religion was like how Tiktok is to us today, if you watch something on there IT MUST BE TRUTH.

SO back in their stupid ant minds they used to think a broken hymen means you weren't a virgin. Meaning they thought you had sex before marriage when in reality poor Mavis probably broke her hymen falling off a big horse and other very basic things.

So the way the women used to get a loophole out of this stupid rule was to insert a tiny fish bladder into their vagina, very intense I know. But to save your life and not be paraded around the streets and called a whore for the rest of your life you had to do this. So when they finally consummated their marriage with this ridiculous tradition, the penis would pop the lovely fish bladder and it would look like actual human blood, hence fooling the very stupid people into thinking a hymen was broken.

The end. :D

There's other means by which to address that problem. :nerdy:

Sex is too good a thing to be wasted on marriage.

Where can I save sex that will offer a high interest return on my investment? :chin:

Heaven.

Of course, it's existence has never been proven, so I'm not sure if investing there would provide the returns you'd be hoping for.
