What I'm saying is, people should act like who they are. Asperger's is who we are, or at least part of it, and whilst trying to restrain the more unhelpful aspects, just pretending it isn't there and acting how you think society perceives normality is something which I learned not to do long before I was diagnosed.

I'm White, and I prefer Asian guys, especially Korean.

Won't say no to the other food on the buffet, but I like the kimchi best.

Oh OK.

Thanks for the clarification.

I come from a multi cultural background, but have, since being diagnosed, been tempted to write "Asperger's" on questionaires where they are asking about race. IMO, It explains me far better than any racial category you could come up with. When growing up, I was not accepted by my peers, because of my mixed cultural status. They would torment and persecute, because of my crimes of being weird and different. At least that's how they described me.

frankly... I didn't think there was any differences between races...

I understand cultural differences, like Japanese people being more polite in their weird way, and whatnot... but not any racial differences...

how can one act black? or white? everyones completely different, theres no way a broad term such as a race could classify everyone... but even then, I still don't see how there could be broad resemblences (like I suppose broadly, AS ppl have alotta traits in common, and I understand that, although on a smaller scale, we're all different-- but dont see how this applies to a race)

weird

anywho, I completely disagree with black girls being loud and obnoxious... a few might, but there are just as many white girls who do that as well... least that I've noticed

but yeah, date who you like, don't think about it in such broad terms, you like asian ppl, so be it, doesn't mean you wont find a black or white or hispanic person you like and end up dating, when it all comes down to it, it really matters how much you like that individual person, not the general class of which your attracted to-- besides, who cares, everyone has their preferances anyways

I'm not loud or obnoxious.
I'm actually very quiet and considerate.
Sometimes a few people give the whole race a bad name.

When I was in both grade school and high school, most of the African American girls who seemed to take a strong dislike to me, were the loud, obnoxious type. But then, they were usually all over everyone's case! There were others, of course, who didn't meet this description. I met two in English class, and we got along ok.

It's a sad thing that people actually believe this. No handful of people accurately represents an entire race, period. Why is that when people make stereotypes, common sense goes out the window? I have never attended a middle or high school filled with quiet students. Instead of assuming it was a skin color thing, I guessed that it may have had something to do with them being teenagers. Also, I've noticed that large groups in general don't travel around using indoor voices. A shot in the dark I know, but a girl can get lucky every now and then. This is directed to anyone who makes these kind of assumptions.

As for the main topic, there's only one instance when I will care about skin color. I refuse to date anyone white or black from Indiana. My entire family is from Indiana, and it's freaking huge. Both sides of my family are mixed, and I really wouldn't appreciate meeting a one stand at my next family reunion.

I agree! Being considered a minority, I have lost count of how many times people have made assumptions based upon how I look. Or gotten surprised at my taste in music, movies, foods, or style of dressing. All I can say, is that these people show how lamentably limited their own ability to think outside the box is.

yea know what you mean. The biggest thing for me is I'm Spanish/Italian who has long black hair and a mustache and beard. I do not brush my beard and I do not feel the need to cut my hair because I like how it looks currently but I am assumed to either be one of these things:
A) Rebel
B) Psychotic
C) A New Age Hippie - ok that might not be too far from the truth in some aspects.

Its sad how people will judge you based on small differences in looks that go against the status quo.

Ya, I agree, I guess its something better off discused with friends in private then out in public tho cause people do judge unfortunatly and take things sometimes differently then you meant them.

well, personally I have nothing wrong with black women. I find alot of them attractive. I have nothing wrong with other women either. But I would more than likely date a black women, just because I feel more comfortable around them.

Being half black and half white, I don't have the luxury of choosing women of my own race. And frequently my mixture works against me, because my features don't conform to the attractive standards of black people or the attractive standards of white people.

Well there Are Half Black/Half White women out there ya know  .Not to mention plenty of other men and women who are racially mixed. Biracial people are often VERY good looking and just cuz your looks are unusual doesnt mean people wont find you attractive. Furthermore, a lot of people like exotic looks.
