Hello John, welcome to the bar! I am guessing long posts are okay...or else everyone has been too polite to tell me to can it!

Hi Kraftie! So nice to see you. I love "Foxy Lady," can we play "The Warriors" by Patty Smith next? Can anybody dance? I cannot, but I do enjoy moving to music if I am in an equally coordination challenged group! :D Lets order some roasted veggies and a nice, light dip to go with it. Maybe also some cookies; chocolate chip, peanut butter...sugar cookies, too?

Kraftie, if I play a slow song, would you care to "dance" (awkwardly, probably) with me?

I'm thinking of the Patty Smith right now, it just so happens!

Ah....the Scent of Lavender indicates that GeekChic has arrived--in all her finery.

I'm not much of a dancer myself---but I think we'd look okay. Just sway to the music.

We can dance to "Sea of Love" by Phil Phillips, if you'd like. It brings back a bittersweet memory; I'll tell you about it some day.

This is a nice and cozy place, with plush seats at the bar, instead of the usual bar stools.

And the Jukebox.....is of the old-fashioned variety. It plays records!

Argh! Yes, I keep missing you guys! Auntblabby...are you still out there somewhere? This bar is like a temporal rift...somewhere between the restaurant at the end of the universe and The Love letter.

I do love these seats, Kraftie, and the records really sound nice. You can't beat the quality. All my CDs are always subtly scratched; they just don't take the abuse the way tapes did. Swaying in place I can do! Lets hit the dance floor. I am happy to enjoy any song you pick...but I hate to hear about the bitter-sweet part. Maybe we can just enjoy the "sweet" for tonight?

Actually, while I do grow lavender in the yard, in summer I tend to smell like a mixture of lime and coconut, which is not actually a joke or a song, but body a spray. It is very light, since perfume tends to be more than I can handle. Although, I do like a subtle men's cologne scent, or aftershave, or whatever. In fall and winter, I have a vanilla scented spray. I am not certain why it needs to change with the season...it just does. :D
I will really try to be in the bar this evening. 'Hope to see you there.

Twas nice to discern your pleasing scent....as you walked through the door.

"Sea of Love"...is a song of romantic escape, an escape from Love's concerns.

There's a slightly lapping sea tonight; we can view it from the Bar's ample windows.

There's a long pier for couples to take romantic walks on. A lone lighthouse is a few miles distant, flickering its subtle blue-hued light.

Well. We meet again. I am pleased to see you. I am also happy the weather is nice enough for a walk on the beach. I cannot think of anything as soothing as the sound of the ocean. I must warn you though, if a fog horn blows out on the bay, I will probably jump out of my skin!

Oooh, pretty! I just saw that one go by. Wow. I think I will have a glass of sparkling water with some fruit juice and a lovely conversation in *almost* real time. I can't believe we actually made it to the bar at the same time. Besides conversation, what would you like to do? Walk and talk? Dance? Play a game? Shoot pool? I am up for anything on a beautiful evening such as this!

I feel rather reflective right now, and a little sad.

The Bar allows us to take glasses out when we go for walks (we'll be very careful, I promise!)

Here's your Cherry-flavored Sparkling water in a wide wine glass. I'm having a Cherry Grenadine.

Shall we proceed to the Pier? Or we could walk on the Boardwalk. The breeze is gentle, yet present.

The scent is of Lilacs.

Oh, I am sorry you feel sad and reflective. I will suppress my ebullience for now, in case you would like to talk about it. I would like to go along the boardwalk for a bit, so long as there is no crowd. I will be careful with the glass. No doubt they are nearly unbreakable since this is a bar for Aspies. (I only have plastic at home for that reason) I am glad the breeze is subtle. Nice salty air. I am always amazed at how the lilacs grow here, they are so pretty, too. Perhaps they are a special salt air tolerant hybrid.

Please....never deny yourself the expression of your ebullience when you're with me. I love to see people happy. It makes me happy.

I am glad you are here. I feel cathartic in your presence. The inner tears have been released, and have been replaced by a sense of Euphoria.

Indeed, the Lilacs are quite adapted to their environment, and are glad to be alive, and do enjoy it when people partake of their Scent.

There's a slight nip in the air, and I glory in it.

Yet I'm glad you bought your shawl. Probably hand-made with your own hands.

It's nice on the Boardwalk. Not too many people. And we can see the Ocean Waves come in, and the rainbow puddles being created right on the Shore. It's almost High Tide.

Actually, I did not make this shawl, but it does look hand-made, doesn't it? I have had it for many years, and I wear it nearly always. My students from years ago recognize me by the shawl and my big, rounded, triangular silver hair barrette. See? It has 10th century Celtic dragons on it. It is the only thing big enough to hold all this hair!

I am glad you are feeling better. Is today a sensitive day...an old anniversary, or similar? I have those, too.
Oh! look at all the adorable little crabs that are coming up the beach with the tide. Crustaceans are marvelous. I am really glad we came out here.

Nah...nothing really that would cause blue feelings. I just wasn't at my best today.

Yep...those impish crabs! They want to put on a show for us! They are happy because they know they will live their full lifespan.

Where did you get that Barrette? You probably obtained it at an archaeological dig. It's so well-preserved that you were given it as a token of appreciation for all your insight into the medieval Celtic mindset. Those dragons...probably inspired the later Gothic cathedral builders when it came to choosing what to model their gargoyles after.

The combination of the Sea Air....and your Scent....will leave an indelible memory. Of this evening, and of your presence this evening.

Ah, you are the sweetest, Kraftie. I suppose I have forgotten what it is like to be with such a flirtatious gentlemen! The barrette was a Christmas gift from dear friends at least 18 years ago. I think it was handmade by a silversmith. As an artist and an historian, I think it is both appropriate and lovely. Plus, as my hair is becoming silver, too, now it matches! It is not so much "salt and pepper" as "salt and dark chocolate." I know so little about you, though! Certainly mysterious can be attractive, but I would like to hear about you, about your day, what your interests are.
