That could never be made by the BBC today, they are politically correct. They also bothered Clarkson every time he made a joke, bleh. I wish I could boycott them but then I'm not a British taxpayer.

The "original" Hitler can also be funny. This is one of the very few clips from Der Untergang that actually has the correct subtitles. Bringen sie mir Fegelein! FEGELEIN! FEGELEIN!

I own downfall. its a good movie. well acted.

Hopefully Clarkson will soon be on TV for you again :)

he had really good speech writers and people who taught him how to move during speeches.
the hitler in the move is private hitler in a bunker surrounded by russians thinking he could still win the war.not the public hitler that cared about image. really though anyone could have been hitler. it was all about the people behind the scenes who helped him appeal to the people.

I haven't actually seen the movie Downfall yet, just the clips of Hitler rants, but I heard it was a good movie. I also like the WW2 documentaries, it's Nazi month again here because of all the WW2 memorials and such.

That clip of WW2 stuff is hilarious, and there is some truth to it. I have heard of some people that they only later in life found out their father/grandfather was a Nazi, because they didn't talk about.

Another thing it made me remember, prince Harry once went to a party with a Nazi outfit. Sort of a stupid mistake if you are a public figure.

Cats will even lie on the super uncomfortable radiatiors, I used to live in a place that had radiators like this and the cat would still sleep on top of it.

I googled radiator cat, wow. We also had one of these things that you can hang on the radiator for the cat.

Being a cat must be fun, since they can run and jump far beyond what humans can do when you consider their size. Our cat would jump from couch to couch, run sideways along the back of the seat by using her nails, and zoooooof to the other side of the room... all for no reason of course.

And we had a plant that wasn't catnip, but had a similar effect and cats would roll in it and get high. Not really different from what humans do really.

And I found another weird German word, because German is awesome. It means something like beef labeling law. Of course it's not normal German but Germane legalese.

Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz

wow - "Cattle marking and beef labelling supervision duties delegation law" i wonder how much time does it take for them to pronounce it :)

And yes, I wish I had their abilities...my kitty went straight to the roof even when only a little kitten....then got stuck there, and while we were thinking of calling a fire brigade, she got hungry enough and went down by herself....she was able to jump like a true acrobat, would even proudly bring little birds she caught in flight.

its quite good though I do dislike subtitles. its an interesting view of the last days in the bunker.
nazi month lol, we have the hitler channel(history channel) that's what my history teach in college called it because tis 80% always about hitler and ww2. then the other 20% is ancient egypt.

well if you were a nazi and being hunted by the allies and most the world hated you, would you go around telling people. though I'd burned everything. though I'd shot myself or more likely got shot for refusing orders.

So many cute cats and foxes :D
My cats like to lay on radiators too, and in front of the fireplace , and on it (there is a sort of shelf there). The warmer the better. :)

I'm sort of used to subtitles, there are not many Dutch tv shows or movies so I had to get used to subtitles at a young age. I still prefer subtitles to dubbing, at least you can hear the original actors. I don't think Downfall would be that interesting if Hitler was shouting in English, German is just better for shouting. Sie werden saufen in irhem eigenen Blut! (I probably got the grammar wrong, but it's German enough).
