Philosophically, why should men make the first move?

The "man must ask ou the woman" doesn't sound evolutionary logical at all , I believe that was imposed by the artificial monogamy system (marriage) which was created after the transformation of the human society (from matriarchal to patriarchal system) in order to shift the picking power from females to males.
You do know, don't you, that some animals mate with the same partner for life?
Monogamous species are very rare in nature, the human species(or at least our humanoid ancestors) is not one of them (the difference of size between men and women is a strong indication of our long polygamous history) but we still not physiologically monogamous.
Even if we're becoming more and more 'monogamous' I still doubt that the human species will evolve into monogamous species since we're more and more adopting the 'serial monogamy' , which is closer to polygamy than to real monogamy.

So if a tall American and a short Chinese had a lifelong monogamous relationship and bore a child, the type of relationship would define how tall the child ended up? Nonsense.
Simplisticly, size is dependent mainly on a) diet and b) genes. Those who eat a lot of protein when they are young become very tall. Certain African tribes display this one. If a tall person has a child with a small person, then it will (in all probability) affect the final height of the child. All of this is straightforward biology.
As far as the general height difference between men and women, I think a strong case could be made that men's bodies have evolved to be stronger in order to deal with greater physical demands (apart from bearing children). Therefore, if height was found to be an advantage, then the average male body would end up taller.
