I love cigars! I only allow myself to have one on very special occasions, like a friend's wedding, or the like.

Yeah, Cubans aren't forbidden here, thank goodness. I know a place in Oslo where you can get 'em. Generally though, cigar stores are few and far between.

Attraction based on physical appearance is due to sexual selection, which is an element of natural selection. People that appear physically attractive are (generally) healthier than unattractive people and therefore more desirable as a mate. It is no more shallow to take looks into account than it is to take personality into account.

My avatar has always been a photo of me, and I stuck my regional location in way back when I joined. It's kind of my standard on any registered interment forum. If you see a post anywhere under the name Zokk, with an avatar of a young-looking guy with dark brown hair and narrow, deep-set eyes, wearing a black shirt under yellow-orange light, that's me.

Anyway, Interesting what Boo says about OKCupid, as, slightly embarassingly I've been getting no replies either with pictures up. You would have thought people with no pictures would get overlooked, not the other way around. Curious.

Yes but if you're going to meet someone in real life from a dating website, they will eventually know what you look like when you meet them so posting your photo up is going to save you time and disappointment. Perhaps you could appeal to a girl with your personality first and she might overlook your physical looks if you don't meet her preferences.

Boo is a charismatic cheeky chap and a funny guy who can appeal to women without looks, so I think for it to work, you would have to at least appeal to them with humor or create a strong emotional response.

My Stallone-esque small left eye and my giant nose seem amplified on most photos. No to mention my half-assed attempt at smiling. :lol:
