Here is photo of me...am I attractive , soso, cute, ugly?
Alright I made some changes. I took out all the sex stuff...although I can't think of a good username for the life of me. I even thought about just putting Alienboy...but that would probably alienate me from all the women and pigeon-hole me as some sort of freak. What do you ladies think would help improve the profile? I will be adding more photos of me soon. Other than a new username...do the about me sections come off as strange? I was trying to express that I am unique and interesting...to stand out from the rest of the guys on there...but I need some feedback on the impression it leaves on those who read it.

Another fallacy, where's the link to your research? and how this research measures the effects of things which are 'more than pictures' (other than wealth which can be measured).

Yeah I guess so...but why is this an option on the site if it is just seen as strange or taboo? Is it like assumed that is an option that should be used exclusively by women? I will change it, but I am just wondering.
a lot of men want casual sex; a lot of women don't.
it's hardly worth it to try for it - some women totally exclude men's profiles if the guys even have "intimate encounters" as one of several options because it implies they are just after sex under the guise of several choices. it's not strange or taboo to look for casual sex, it's just got an almost-guaranteed failure rate for men on dating sites (and almost-guaranteed success rate for women) so there isn't much point.
but then, marriage and family-minded men may have an easier time than women with the same goals, so it can be a double standard that cuts both ways, unfortunately.

you know i have the research to back it up, but people rarely bother to read it so there usually isn't any point in posting it. i don't make claims that i can't back up, in spite of your flawed perception. but since you asked so very nicely:

(nice job implying women are gold-diggers too. i am not surprised you'd pull that card)

I didn't imply that women are gold-diggers, stop putting words in my mouth; you bitter.
The name is the first thing that has to go.
The caption is the second thing that has to go.
I'm not going to bother saying anything else as it's clearly a piss take.
If you make a proper one post it and then I can help.
Yeah...I will have to make some serious changes I guess. Was it funny at all or just lame? I was trying to be a little funny. Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that ordinary guys are a dime a dozen...but so are douchebags and most women LOVE douchebags. What suggestions do you have for me? I am willing to make some changes...although I might not be able to change my profile name...
I don't think it's funny, it looks quite unappealing. Blatently sexual profiles only work for guys who look like Brad Pitt or advertise as filthy rich ,and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people are blocking you.
Douche bags are a dime a dozen. But Ordinary guys are a dime a thousand.

did you read the research or did i actually post it for no reason?
and bringing up wealth when wealth was not mentioned was definitely making an implication. it's your same old tune, so i am not so naive as that.
i have no bitterness.

this section is contradictory. you say you are not talking about sexuality:
but then state that you want a casual encounter (code for casual sex)
then you seem to essentially describe how you want a girlfriend but without labelling her as such.
you need to clarify what you actually want, while being realistic about what you can obtain.

I'm going to share my experience with you from the point of view of a female on a dating site.
99% of the guys who message me are not repulsive, or even ugly. They simply don't spark my interest.
Their profile might sound mildly interesting but it stops there.
Indifference is the main problem with men who struggle on dating sites, not repulsion.
There are several ways you can make yourself stand out.
1. Take really interesting photos. - Dressed up classy and in an interesting place is always a winner. Skydiving. Out doing things, looking like a go-getter.
2. Try and make your profile channel and interesting personality. This varies from person to person. There is more to a person than the interests they list. To be fair most guys no matter how attractive they are seem a bit lame on a profile. You just have to sound less lame than the others.
What are the good things about your personality? And how can you channel that into writing?
3. If you can, participate on online communities there. If that site doesn't offer them, find one which does. I am about 500% more likely to respond to a message there if It's someone I know from the message boards.
Douche bags get the girls simply because they stand out. Even if it is through being completely obnoxious.
But Ordinary guys are a dime a thousand.
Ordinary looking women are too. I went to Hawaii just recently for over a week, and I didn't see any women I thought were really good looking. Not even one.
right, and how does that relate to the OP's dating profile or pictures?

Do the researchers realize that women are much less likely to write long texts on their online profiles? Go browse some profiles on okc, women are less likely to write significant profiles compared to men.
Women's profile texts are usually short and very brief, no wonder why they wouldn't have much impact.
Anyways, oktrends shows that wealth is important but you're blaming the prostitutes. It's something i mentioned because it's one of the few things that can be easily measured.

This thread isn't discussing the dating problems of ordinary looking women, though.

were we talking about wealth in this thread? no? then you're resurrecting your opinion about women being after money. not interested.
please actually read the study, then we can talk about it.

The ordinary looking women viewing his profile probably think they're great looking even though they aren't.

i don't see why they would think that. you've made a big leap in logic there.
