You obviously were not looking in Louisiana because lots of the women here had things like liberals & non-Catholics to be dealbreakers when I used OKC. Maybe we should swap places to look for a woman.

I'm a right-winger. I'm also a liberal and a national conservative, and I believe in a leaner, more efficient welfare state. Am I a turn-off?

Also, that is a massive, massive generalisation.

You can start with middle class welfare.

If public education ain't good enough for you Trust fund Timmy pay for it out of your own pocket I'm supposed to fund the life styles of rich people am I ?

I think many people on here can make the mistake of having narrow or exaggerated expectations and that can lead them in to constant disappointment because they don't have realistic expectations of how a relationship should be. It's easy to judge, point the finger and write someone off, it's more difficult to truly get to know someone and realize they have individual merits.

I'm not saying people should lower their standards and date someone with completely different lifestyle choices to their own, I'm saying that having your standards set extremely high and being judgmental about everything isn't fair on your partner or potential partner.

Well said!

I'm very open minded and not a lot bothers me. I let people be who they are because I want the right to be who I am.

All the people who say things like this on this forum, I understand their hearts are in the right place, this advice is technically good solid advice, but it doesn't and cannot take into account every variation of geography or socio-economic status of each individual board member to whom it is repeatedly issued.

Simply put, in the area of the country I'm in, in the county I'm in and in the town that I'm in, if I lowered my standards at all, I'd bump into the opposite problem than what i have now, a bunch of people who are so ignorant, toothless, hillbilly that they think I'm being "stuck up" because I pronounce the G at the end of words like 'Hunting' and 'Fishing'.

Crammer police annoy me. It's impossible for me to use perfect English due to dyslexia & bad motor-skills/typing. Being criticized a lot for it or other things I cant help really frustrates me & I start thinking the person likes to criticize. If a woman is going to assume I'm stupid because of the way I type/spell instead of the content I type out; I will assume she is extremely judgmental. I'm OK with people pointing out my common misspellings & I will try to learn but having everything I type out being nitpicked is waaay too much

I'm not right-wing, just a Republican. And I have no problem being with someone who votes Democratic or is liberal.
