Good then when I do do all these things, I can sell you knives. I already made one knife. You don't need a license for a forge, my grandpa said as soon as I find a place to put it, he would help me build one from scrap, and bricks. A forge can use charcoal for fuel, so it isn't that expensive. I've already replaced brakes, rotors, transmission fluid, a drive shaft, and wheels/tires. I can already weld as an equal with my grandpa, who is an engineer. My Great granddad was a machinist for 44 years of his life. I work in my Grandfathers little shop here and there, and also know how to replace hard drives on anything. I also made a grill my dad uses to cook steaks on an open fire with, no steak ever tops the ones on that grill. I already have experience and a little dna memory working for me.

In fact your not the only one with broken dreams, stop feeling sorry for yourself. I have a hard time getting a Job, and I am going to have to start my own business online making hand-forged tools, knifes, axes, and providing a gun repair service on top of that. These things will all be custom order optional. What I am trying to say is that one of my dreams is becoming a necessity. I suggest you write on top of a Job.

lolwut, gun repair? You can't get an FFL license until you're 21.

Is everyone this doubtful of themselves? I can become a wealthy black smith from disability benefit beginnings, with no education on how to be a black smith, and I don't even have a six pack or toned muscles. I've seen chubby old men blacksmith, if they can , I can too! I wish other people on this forum knew how do do stuff like make a forge out of chicken wire, patio bricks, kingston charcoal, a blower, and flexible duct work. Anything mechanical like that and I remember it like it was yesterday.

This doesn't change the fact that you go to jail if you do gun repair for other people and you don't have an FFL license.

I don't see how blacksmithing has any correlation to toned muscles or six packs, so I don't know why you brought that up. Also, you should probably also look into any permits you'd need for a forge. Speaking of disability money. I may be getting that. You still didn't like "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" blah blah if you do it with disability money. You still got help from others.

I "know how" to do lots of stuff. It's actually doing it that's the problem. Anyone can say they "know how" to do lots of things. Just read and tada, you know how. Now actually do it. That's why not everyone can do everything. I used to think I "knew how" to work on cars, as I read a bunch of stuff about it and understood it in my head. Not everything works out as well in your head as it does in real life. For example, my Supra's flywheel bolts are only accessible through the starter hole. I figured "hey this is easy, just take the bolts off" except it's more of a two person job and I didn't know that when I did it as the book didn't specifically state it, as the crank can't move. So my Supra ended up eating all my 12mm wrenches I had. Oops, now I have no 12mm wrenches, and I can't do anymore even if I wanted to. Try again later, I guess, but the "simple job" turned out hard as hell. It's sh** like this that makes my life complicated. Nothing is ever "haha, so easy!" All the details kill you.

I'm just saying, I was just as optimistic as you at 19 years old. Then reality hit me, and I found out everything is hard as hell.

Don't worry, I will get someone on here to pass out discounts.

You had help. My dad basically never wanted to help me for s**t since my parents divorced and my grandparents are all dead. I've done basically all those car tasks, too (no driveshaft.)

I absolutely love your attitude. We aspies do have advantages, use them. You will not always succeed, but as long as you learn from your failures, it was not a waste. The important thing is to keep doing things. What you end up doing in 20 years time, is probably nothing you can imagine now, I know it wasn't for me.

I don't know what that crap about not accepting help from others was: if there are people who are willing to help you, it shows that they have confidence in you.

Good on you.

Nah, getting help from others is awesome. But if you get help from others it's not a matter of "I did ____." Help from others doesn't mean it's intrinsically you and your greatness at whatever thing you're doing causing you to succeed, but simply luck, really. Some people just have better luck is my point. Going and being like "ALL YOU NEED IS SOME CONFIDENCE" is the same as going to China and saying all you need is confidence and you can be a millionaire to some peasant farmers.

Truth. Truth. TRUTH.

Pabalebo, in your case, I'd say you just have really sh***y luck. It's got nothing to do with confidence. If your friend is as sloppy and fat and repulsive as you claim, more than likely he's just really lucky.

I mean, believe it or not, there are plenty of insecure men in relationships.

Okay, I did a more refined search and I found you.

I have decided that since you put yourself out there, and since you asked, I have the right to be as honest as I want to be;

At first when I looked, I thought; just fine, normal, average.

Then when I looked closer and spent some more time, I thought; actually, if this kid lost some weight and grew up a bit, he'd be quite something, above average looking.

I think you would be very handsome if you slimmed down a bit and had a more mature, confident look. That's not a critcism. You are very, very young right now.
You're not extremely overweight, I'm not saying that. But if you did lose some weight, you would cross over into above average looking.
Plus remember to eat a good diet. It improves your skin.

Work on that, and the things in your personality and Aspergers that are causing problems or could do, and you will not have any logistical problems attracting women.

The rest is just about confidence.

Hope none of that upsets. I mean it to empower you.

That happened to me. I went from average blah looking 5/10 to like 8-9/10 just by losing weight, grooming well, and wearing nicer clothes that fit me. I lost about 50lbs or so.

I'm slim and healthy and I'm not an 8-9/10, this is BS.

I was not suggesting that everyone who loses weight would suddenly move into being above average looking. This is clearly not going to be the case, but for some people it really can be, and for the OP I was giving my opinion that I thought this would apply to him.

It was my step dad and my grandparents who helped me learn crafts and trades. My parents are divorced, but my dad still cares about me a lot, even if he is hard on me. His dad was the same way with him, beer, and yelling. The one thing he gave me I can never thank him enough for, is my love for the outdoors, and wild game. He may have his faults, but he gave me skills like how to use ghillie suits to the point that I can hide and have ten people walk past me and no one notice. I know what divorce is like, but I'm sorry it is that bad for you.

I dream of being a biomedical engineer. It is hard for people to try to crush your dreams when they don't know what they are :D

Good luck repairing weapons. You should do custom adjustments too, those make a lot of money. Who cares if you have to be 21 first? That is only roughly 2 years away for you. It just gives you a chance to practice and save up money to start your business. Most people do not achieve their dream career quickly. I will have to go though at least 4 years of college (preferrably 8) and a few years of training before I can reach my dream.

 Don't tempt me. I am looking into using cancer cells to slow the aging process (interestingly, cancer cells never show signs of aging, and divide indefinately).
