ocotober - my work and skills have nothing to do with my opinions or advice so please don't resort to ad hominem. Think about what you're doing to a real person when you make that sort of assertion on a public board. Even worse, to judge me on two passive words is verging on ludicrous. You know as well as I do I made my contribution earlier on in the thread, and at least tried to diffuse this situation.
If you must extract another point from me for the benefit of getting the thread back on track (something you are not doing much to help by the way), is that yes I too am fed up with this nice guy/bad boy simplification. People have varying levels of good and bad that make them who they are. They are also qualities of a person, not who they are. Someone could do a lot of nice deeds but actually be a bad person, for example.
I expected better from you, to be frank, and I always would. And I'd expect you to see a bigger picture on this thread, rather than just be tied up in protecting your own ego (remember your thread in the haven?). I'm disappointed with the first part of your response. You weren't being useful - simple. Don't pretend to be mortally wounded. In hindsight, neither have I.
Point taken about the thread not being on track. In a chaotic way, though, it actually is.
There's a danger in calling someone a good or bad person. A lot of that usually comes down to a simple case of marketing. How can it make someone what they are? We are what we are. Can a simplification ever be replaced with the 'good' or 'bad' simplification? It's duality - back to that thread again.
